I officially have a Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing from Grand Canyon University. After 4 years of hard work, dedication, and tears I will be a registered nurse. I am incredibly grateful for my parents, family and friends for being in my corner throughout this journey. Nursing school is no joke, they put you through it! I had 400 clinical hours, over 50 exams and way to many simulations hours. I gained a new perspective on life during my rotations. Situations such as being nervous just to talk to a patient, performing CPR, closing their eyes for the last time then moving on to another patient who is mad I forgot their water, shaking hands while putting IVs in to confident Iv skills, and taking care of children who may never leave the hospital. Those situations showed me why I wanted be a nurse, to be there for those who need it. These last 16 months I have met the most amazing humans who helped me laugh my way through every moment. Ever since I was a child my answer to “what do you want to be when you grow up?” was a Nurse! I have never looked back and I am thankful to be where I am today. I will strive to be the nurse that treats patients to the standards my family deserves. Hopefully I won’t see you in the ER :) Thank you Mom and Dad 🤍
