POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Preschool through 5th grade summer camps were pretty amazing!! We had 3 weeks of enjoying the sun, splashing in water, creating artwork, swinging to the sky, and making the best camp memories with new friends. Our counselors are the very best chaos coordinators, leaders of laughter, & facilitators of fun💕🎉 Summer Camp at DSU is definitely fun. Two of our little campers actually renamed it “Fun Camp”, so it has to be true🩷🩷

Our very first gala to celebrate over a decade of Downside Up— A Night of Impact!! It was above & beyond what I had hoped & has kept me on a cloud of gratitude for weeks!! It was a night to highlight our programs & how we provide opportunities for the children & families we serve, to share stories of impact from parents, teachers, volunteers, & others who have been with us throughout the years, and to show those who may not know about us why they might want to get involved & share in the absolute joy of changing lives. I could write pages on how God has continued to provide the people, resources, places, & families to strengthen this community & to keep it all going. It has been hard many times, but every child & every parent who has been part of our family for families makes it all worth it. Thank you for showing up, supporting, & loving us through the years. There are too many to thank & so many stories to tell & that is a true blessing. I wish we could have invited everyone who has been a part of the last ten plus years (& taken way more pics of the evening), but please know you are appreciated!!!
We loved that you shared your experience with us & let us hear how DSU is part of your life💛💛- Kelly Wehman, Karis Hammond, Ruth Galpin, Jon Hughes, Gail Campbell, Kim Leffew, & Lissa Elkins!!!
The Gala Gals were amazing — Terri Willett, Kera Hughes, Emma Christensen, Teri Henderson, Jeannie Sherwood, Merrie Beth Eubanks, & Jackie Leach !!!
Thanks so much to our SPONSORS:
Patten & Patten, Chambliss Law Firm
Mary & Larry Miller Foundation, Sherwood Counseling & Consulting
Play it Again Sports, T3 Financial Group at UBS, Appalachian Land Design
East Ridge Bicycles, Scooters
