Goodnight to The Shape of the Night Seattle. Goodnight to this amazing show. Goodnight to an impossible production that we pulled off. Goodnight to big list. Goodnight to showing up to the morning news with the High Minister and scaring the host. Goodnight to dancing with underneath sparkly jellyfish. Goodnight gorgeous nightmarish art and sparkles in an old cement plant. Goodnight to the amazing new friends made and my AOTW cohort who I am forever grateful for. Goodnight to Lucie’s scary backstage. Goodnight synthetic purple wig. Goodnight to the best experience filled with the dream team that I will miss so much 😭🖤🦷 #allhailthetoothman

Putting a show to bed and saying goodbye to the team that created it is always hard, but especially so with this one. There was something magical going on in the Georgetown Steam Plant for the past few weeks, an electric energy and roaring sense of community that felt rare and special. @theshapeofthenight was a gift, and now that it’s over I’m feeling sad and exhausted, but also wildly lucky and grateful.

I will never forget this experience, and will strive to continue making weird, messy art with incredible collaborators like these as often as I can. I’ll always be chasing the high of handing out teeth to strangers and looking around to see these beautiful, talented, passionate, magical, hilarious, kind, and loving artists running around the Steam Plant and baring their hearts and souls night after night. What a trip it’s been. What a dream.

Thank you so much to the incredible cast and crew who made this beautiful nightmare so special (and shoutout to @theharperbizarre who stepped in at the last minute and absolutely killed it!). I love you all, and can’t wait to do it again. Until next time, my sweet dreamers… it’s time to wake up.

This could be a sweet dream…or beautiful nightmare! 😈
I’m sure there will be more to come, but for now I’ll state my thanks like this; I didn’t think an experience like this would come along, especially not via drag. “Summer Camp Slasher” showed me that drag had a place in theatre and @theshapeofthenight showed me that drag can thrive in theatre! Call me the Wicked press tour because I’m crying, I’m holding space, and I’m in love with the humans I got to experience all of this with. I’m a Virgo, we don’t cry and I’m tearing up trying to write this caption…

We may have woken up from the dream for now, but the gates to dreamland are still open and I can’t wait to come back to this cornucopia of nightmarish pleasures again! 💖
