Jerk & Jollof Fest through Ava’s POV

First, inspect the swag bag immediately. Obviously.

Then head to the festival to investigate further.

Embrace the Nigerian half 🇳🇬 with beef suya, jollof rice + chicken. Born for spice and entirely unbothered.

Watch our friend Charles discover that he was… not born for spice. He survived though.

Acquire a new headband from Kulture Kollection. Dance with dad. Join the other kids for storytelling. Eat some more.

A very successful day according to Ava.

What an amazing afternoon at the African Festival in Strathcona County!

Organized and hosted by the @africansocietystrathconacounty, this was the second year that my husband and I were able to attend to enjoy the event, food, shopping, and the entertainment.

I really enjoyed when my husband was pulled into the action!
