15. Chukwu | @kuokills | Photographer Sometimes, the world you build for yourself becomes the starting point for the world you want to create. Growing up as an introverted, young black boy, Chukwu spent much of his time in his own company — reading, exploring the internet and experimenting with art. What began as time spent in his own world would become the foundation of his creative journey. Now, he’s working towards building a name for himself in the creative industry, collaborating with brands and magazines, having his work recognised and connecting with creatives who inspire him, including @feliciathegoat and @gabrielomoses His journey is a reminder that you have control over the world you create. #BlackTober

VVSmygwen, who first made a name for herself as a freestyle rapper, has truly come into her own across 2025 and 2026, carving out a distinctive identity both visually and sonically. Her upcoming project is a testament to that growth, showcasing some of her strongest visuals to date alongside infectious melodies and a sound that feels entirely her own. Her connection to her Nigerian heritage has also brought a new dimension to her artistry, reflected in both her music and collaborations with other Nigerian artists. She’s undoubtedly one to watch. Her debut EP, Cleotrapa, arrives at midnight tonight.

30/09/26 (1/2) - It really do get like dat. Incredible night, incredible people, incredible conversations. I love spaces like this that are open and accessible, artists and creatives and listeners all getting together and sharing their thoughts and ideas. I also love Bloccstar, some really solid tunes and well fleshed out thoughts in it. Especially enjoyed Owner, Jangalova, Parable of a Skinnyman, These Days and Gets Like Dat. In my head the GRM Daily Invite Only track is a bonus one that i also find very moving.
