Apollo opened in April 2017 with a simple but radical idea — a meeting place around art, where people from fashion, music, design, and crafts could come together by chance and proximity. A place that maybe wasn’t excluding. Or maybe it was. But if you wanted to, you could join in.
We called it a bumblebee. It shouldn’t have flown. But it did — carried by desire, energy, and a fair dose of creative chaos, it hit on something Copenhagen was missing.
Over almost 10 years, we danced on the granite bar, filled the courtyard like an Italian piazza, and made some of the wildest, most beautiful food and memories of our lives. We threw parties that went too far and cleaned up broken glass in the morning with no regrets. We welcomed artists, chefs, students, lovers, night owls, and natural wine drinkers. We grew, changed, and found our voice — one that was global and yet local. Unpretentious but special.
It has been an honour and a privilege to have had so many beautiful memories here ! Love to everyone who made it special.

Apollo will close its doors at the end of September. 🖤

We’re excited to announce that our new cookbook with Frederik Bille Brahe (@frederikbillebrahe) is hitting the road, travelling from Paris to Tokyo, London, Seoul, Copenhagen, and finally home to Barcelona.

First stop: Rose Bakery at Dover Street Market (@doverstreetmarketparis), Paris, next week on Wednesday, January 21. Join us for a giant tiramisù tasting, followed by a book signing and a conversation moderated by Dan Thawley (@danthawley).
