2025 was the year of investment for my business, @kuratemedia ✨ Back in Q1, I lost 3 out of my 9 retainer clients. It felt like a huge loss at the time, BUT instead of getting stuck - I decided to use the time to revamp areas of my business. Here are a few investments I made this year in my business: 1. Professional Branding ✨💻 Losing clients actually created space to attract new, more aligned ones - however our (non-existent) branding, at the time, was misaligned with who we wanted to attract. Our brand felt very DIY, newbie freelancer when it needed to give trustworthy partner...lol. So I hired a designer to bring our visual branding to life — and she delivered! xoxo 2. Quarterly Brand Shoots 📸 Since I don’t have a website yet, Instagram is where most people go to check us out — and my old visuals weren’t cutting it. Committing to quarterly shoots with @domproductions.ca has helped to create a cleaner, more cohesive & visually appealling brand presence! 3. Traveling for a Conference ✈️🌁 Losing clients reminded me how important it is to stay visible and say yes to opportunities. I decided to attend @culturecon in NYC with one of my clients! I connected with so many marketers and entrepreneurs, and even got to see family I hadn’t seen in years. I’d love to hear what investments you made in your business, career, or personal projects this year?🤓
