It was such an honor to see my beautiful niece’s debut on the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville! And then to top it off, her song “Love you from a distance” became a certified gold single!!!

Time for my annual “I had too much work and now I’m up for air so let me catch up with five months of photos so friends and family know we’re alive” updates.

December 2025 -
’Tis the Christmas season of an abundance of cheer and unfortunately our last full month with our sweet kitty, Zahara.
* Molly returned from the hospital and went straight into the Christmas season with her first advent calendar.
* Rather than playing with the toys, she learned to stuff them (and all her other toys) down her shirt to “have boom booms like mommy.”
* The video is long, but too hilarious not to post.
* She also wanted to play ukulele, use the potty, and put on makeup like mommy (not very good at any of these).
* She enjoyed playing “Ashey, Ashey” with Travis until he actually fell down sick from spinning
* We got really bad news about Zahara - likely lymphoma - but didn’t want to believe it, so we fattened her up, which helped her bond with Molly beautifully. At least we got her in our 2025 Christmas Card. Miss her every day.
* Saw @challowell and the incredible @thehallowedhouse work with some of my favorite people, then finally brought Molly to meet the rest of the Pauli family.
* We made up for missed Thanksgiving by celebrating it, the first real snow, Molly’s Birthday, and Kotlanger Christmas all the same day…theme was COSTUME CHANGE
* We did our annual tradition of “I hate Santa” with Asher and Elida. I hope next year she actually smiles.
* Molly finally learned to appreciate Santa from afar, so we made cookies - some anatomically correct similar to how I made cookies when I was a child (Auntie Marianne…)
* Christmas Eve, we celebrated with favorite friends we hadn’t seen in too long.
* Kotlanger Christmas Celebration commenced and Molly MOSTLY “got” Santa and was spoiled again…but so was our Christmas…
* When Molly woke up on the 26th with a fever and then the rest of us had varying degrees of illness through the new year… 2026 we will overdo the Kotlanger Christmas Carols since we didn’t get to sing ONCE in 2025
