Finally a wrap for this academic year and time to welcome summer 😎
It has been a pleasure to be the core studio instructor of 🧑‍🏫 Parsons Paris Arts, Media and Technology @parsonsparis.artmedia Y3 students. Looking at how they have refined their methodology, discovered and matured materiality, sharpened their techniques, found clearer ways to present their works and worked professionally - growing from a little sprout to a plant 🌱🪴 Can’t wait to see how will their continue to develop their practice and grow into a little tree 🌳

Tunnel Division with Amelie -
In this project we made a two-person knitted headpiece, blinding the wearers to nearly everything except each other. Taking inspiration from cell division, we looked at excessively close relationships. We wanted to explore the bubble people find themselves in, how these cycles repeat themselves, and the unavoidable pain they ultimately bring.

Liquid Smooth Metal Work Glasses by Alifya Aryasena @firstblushed .

From the designer:

“It was made with found objects which were a pair of broken glasses and a vintage necklace, both found at the flea market. The technique I used was soft soldering and this project was actually done for an art school assignment where we had to make something new from an object of choice that we disassemble.”

“The nose bridge is adjustable and detachable — made to morph to model’s face.“
