ABOUT THE BOOK ➡️⠀PART 2/2⠀
⠀ ⠀
➡️Read the 1st Part in the PREVIOUS post at @mylatestprintedpicture⬅️
⠀
⠀By realizing this project I’m exploring trends of our society on storing visual memories and creating a unique experience of direct involvement in a creative process. Also, for every person involved, it gives a unique opportunity to get a published book that has its own personalized image on the cover. Quite an experience, right?! Given the fact that seeing your face on the cover of anything except your childhood photo-album is mostly the prerogative of famous people, for good or for worse.
⠀
⠀ While flipping through the pages and reading stories I have managed to collect so far, I often catch myself thinking that, amazingly, they have so many things in common. It is only names and locations that differ, but not the situations and emotions people experience and want to remember. Printed photography turned out to cultivate not the uniqueness and narcissism, but solidarity and the feeling of community. In the face of fragile and beauty of trivial life, we are all the same: kissing our partners, hugging parents, starting at the sunset above a holiday sea.
⠀
⠀At the same time, each of those pictures in the book at some point in the work process will represent by itself the "Latest Printed Picture" that has been made by me. For me, as for an author of this book, it is not gonna have a final image on the cover till I’m not done with shooting. Each new hero - that’s my latest printed image.
⠀
⠀Thanks for reading till the end!⠀Your opinion and support are very important!

It's always a pleasure to meet with your friend and have a nice chat about things that you both are passionate. I was glad to host Arc @kvazark for a couple of days earlier this year. No doubt I've found some time to ask him: — What was your latest printed picture? :
.
— Well, to be honest, over the past several years I've printed pictures on a serious occasion only a couple of times. The latest was in the spring of 2018 when I was preparing a portfolio for the @rodchenko_artschool Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia in Moscow. A wide selection of my best singles and projects I've been working on. Long afterward I sent most of the photos from there as gifts to my friends all over the world, not too many of them though. I left for myself only a few shots from a personal project about my daughter and something else. By the way, I don’t take tons of pictures of my daughter either. It’s rather her mother who does that - she constantly orders prints from her cell phone or regular DSLR-camera in the nearest print shop.
.
— Your question regarding the most valuable photograph sounds a little ambiguous for me. With all those technologies nowadays it is very difficult to compare B&W pictures on paper, Instagram feed or on a hard drive. A picture which I am proud of as a photographer - would be a landscape with a frozen lake in mid-winter, where dozens of people engage in ice fishing. Turned out to be a really powerful and graphic shot, I still consider it one of my best works. But no doubt that the family album will be much more important for any person. It's just from a different scale system.
