Owensboro—whether we’re reconnecting after years or meeting for the very first time, hiiiii! 🤎

I grew up near the Hillcrest golf course and have always found a way to get myself back to the 270!

So, next weekend on September 5–6, @livefreetour 2026 is coming to KWC!

*Live Free!* is an interactive experience for any adults who want space to have honest conversations, reflect, connect, learn practical tools, and explore what greater freedom, abundance, purpose, and flourishing can actually look like in real life.

You don’t have to know anybody before you come.
You also don’t have to have your life falling apart.
And you most certainly don’t have to have everything figured out.

Come as you are where you are—whoever you are.

And whether I knew you growing up or we’re about to meet for the very first time, I would genuinely love to welcome you into the room.

I personally love how beautiful realities are rarely built by one person, but by people who brought what they have to the table. Each thing brought is of high value:

A resource.
A relationship.
A skill.
A service.
An introduction.
A financial gift.
A business they’ve been quietly building.
A willingness to say, “I may know someone who can help.”

Community is foundational to how I’ve intentionally crafted the Live Free! experience because living in freedom in and of itself is literally impossible to do as a solo effort. We need each other to make it through this one life we have. So, just as much as I would love your help, I’d equally love to help you, too!

Maybe you’re a local business, nonprofit, ministry, professional, foundation, or community leader who believes in creating spaces where people can connect, reflect, grow, and discover new possibilities.

Maybe you have goods, services, printing, hospitality, attendee resources, giveaways, food trucks, or professional expertise that could genuinely serve the people in the room.

Maybe you’re an entrepreneur (big shoutout to y’all! 🙌🏾👏🏾) building something Owensboro should know about. We’re making room for a limited number of Vendor Sponsors to bring their businesses into the room, meet attendees, and share what they offer.

Or maybe your contribution is much simpler:

You know somebody I should meet.

Listen, as an avid connecter of people myself, I know how that one good introduction can open doors nobody else in the room could have opened.

(And I know you know somebody 👀! You’re thinking about them right now, haha!)

I’m not asking everybody to do everything.

I’m simply asking you to consider whether there’s a lane here that fits what you already have, who you already know, or what you’re already building.

If there is, I’d love to hear from you!

Complete the short Live Free! Support + Partnership Interest Form through the link in my bio or in my stories, or simply scan the QR code on the final slide.

And if someone came to mind while you were swiping (and I know they did 😄), tag them below or send this post their way!

Let’s see what we can build—together!

As a potentially historic snow front continues moving into the area this weekend, we are wishing our campus community and neighbors a safe and warm few days ahead. ❄️

While we wait to see what this storm brings, take a look back at Kentucky Wesleyan’s campus throughout the years during other snowy moments.

Giving Tuesday stands out as an incredible day of generosity in 2025. Thanks to our donors, more than $1 million was surpassed in endowed scholarships and Chemistry Program support, and the $400,000 goal was exceeded by 6.9 percent with $427,696 raised. #KWC2025Recap

Kentucky Wesleyan College staff member Joe Welsh, head of custodians, delivered 7,200 boxes of ramen noodles to the Daviess County Detention Center today, a Christmas gift to the center’s inmates and the eighth year the Welsh family has provided the food.

“I was incarcerated on Christmas Day in 2008, and I know what it is like to spend the holidays behind bars,” Welsh said. “This is something my family can do to celebrate Jesus and reach out to others. We want to lift the spirits of the inmates. It’s how our family sets the tone for our Christmas.”
Each year, the Welsh family dedicates the donation in honor of a local organization. This year’s gift was given in honor of Kentucky Wesleyan College, where Welsh began serving in April 2025.

“We appreciate Joe and his family, and the fact that they gave this significant and thoughtful gift in honor of KWC,” said Scott Kramer ’87, chief of staff and vice president of operations at the College. “Their generosity is a poignant reminder to all of us that Christmas is about giving, not receiving.”
