Made In The 90s wasn’t built by one person. It was built by a village.

I am forever grateful. ❤️

Where do I begin?
At 19 years old, I went to Planned Parenthood to talk to someone about preventing pregnancy because I knew I was too young to be anybody’s mom (I still had partying to do) I thought I was doing something by registering under an alias: “Terrean Brown.” 🤣 I clearly didn’t think far out the box with that one😩.
Since I was a few days late, they gave me a pregnancy test. When the nurse came back, she started asking me questions, but I couldn’t hear anything she was saying after the words, “Your test is positive.”
My heart dropped. All I could think was, “My parents are going to kill me.” 😩
I told the nurse I wasn’t ready to be a mom. She handed me a little pill and told me to go into the bathroom and take it. She explained that it would terminate the pregnancy because, as she put it, “it wasn’t a baby yet—it was just an embryo.”
Well… I walked into that bathroom and threw that pill right in the trash.
Here we are 30 years later.
The day before my 20th birthday, I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl who has grown into a beautiful, talented, humble, God-fearing woman.
Kiy, we truly grew up together, and I wouldn’t change our journey for anything in the world. Thank you for always making this parenting thing easier for your dad and me. Even when we dropped the ball because of our own foolishness, you stepped right in and protected your siblings without ever being asked. That says so much about the woman you were created to be.
Watching you become a wife, and one day, I know you’ll be an incredible mother, is one of my greatest joys. I couldn’t be more proud of you.
As you step into this new decade, continue allowing our Heavenly Father to order your steps and lead your path. I’m so excited to see everything He has in store for you. I pray that 30 brings blessings beyond anything you’ve ever imagined.
Happy 30th Birthday! 🎉🎂 Continue living life to the fullest, you deserve it!
Cheers to 30… the non-alcoholic way! 🥂😂
I love you more than words could ever express.❤️

i’ve been trying to find words to adequately express this last month.

I don’t know if I have them yet but I just know this month shifted the way I live and the way I do ministry.

April taught me surrender & sisterhood.

To every woman pictured and those who aren’t that have held space for my heart and my humanity — Thank You. I love you deeply!!!

God is faithful & I will never get tired of telling of His goodness.

Trust me, this is advice coming from a person whose walls are bullet proof.

Today I got to see what I saw!! 😭😭 …and Rhian was with me to witness it!!!

God bless everyone who purchased a JLU crew, and donated to Rhian’s Heart Foundation! Two years ago we started this - and with her birthday being Monday, her seeing this really meant something!!

These are seeds now - but her heart desires to give so much more! She would ask when she was younger, “Can we get them a house?” And one day I believe she will!!!

Propel Leadership Conference 26 was everything that @iamjamesparker_ and I needed at this time. We encountered God in a room full of leaders for 3 days.

Thank you @vernongordon and @ashleygordon___ for your “yes” and your “pour”. My husband and I received a second wind for the journey ahead. Our first ministry (our marriage/family) was restored and we received so much confirmation, divine strategies, and even new community.

Thank you @wearethelifechurch for your warm hospitality! God’s love was definitely felt!🥹❤️

And one of the best parts of this trip was seeing my family operate freely in doing what God has created and called them to do. @jaytoddofficial @kweenbynature and @marlonsellers8 we love yall so so much! Didn’t want to leave you🥹❤️

@ferventcitychurch Get ready it’s up from here!!!!!!!!🙌🏾

720 minutes with a bunch of people who were hungry in more ways than one.

God met us, folded us up and sent us out to fulfill purpose.
We are forever marked by the shift that happened and excited to continue seeking God as we take on the rest of 2026.

Until next time ✌🏽
