Thanks for the rare bts snap 📸 @caffeinewizard !!
🔥 Just quietly preparing more space/s (!!) to brew, serve & sip coffees with you for 2026.
For now, celebrating two years in this warehouse, our pocket for sourcing, roasting & packing your coffees ~ connecting always with amazing humans in the coffee community and keeping it street. Shout out to all small business owners out there, it’s a ride.

Big thanks and love for sharing in and supporting our decade+ long journey here. One Love 🖤

As well as providing a warm and welcoming place to stay in the heart of Sydney, @SongHotel is all about having a positive impact within its local community.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As Australia’s first profit-for-purpose hotel (with 100% of profits from the hotel and on-site restaurant - @songkitchensydney - supporting community projects for women across housing, services and leadership pathways), Song also invites its socially conscious guests to engage with purpose-driven businesses and social enterprises in the hotel’s surrounds.

Song Hotel’s wonderfully like-minded neighbours include:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 @refettorioozharvest – an Australian-first, social impact collaboration between Australia’s leading food rescue operation OzHarvest and Chef Massimo Bottura’s Food for Soul, featuring weekly ‘Pay It Forward’ dinners that give-back to help those in need.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 @twogoodco café at the historic Yirranma Place – a social enterprise café that provides employment opportunities for disadvantaged women, helping to break the cycle of disadvantage, while aiming to rebuild their self-worth and independence
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 @kwilacoffee – a small batch and ethically-sourced coffee roaster, and Surry Hills café, that supports independent coffee growers in PNG, while also working to improve the lives of women in these coffee-growing communities

Whether you’re a visitor to Sydney or a Sydney local, we encourage you to support these beautiful businesses!

✊🏾Welcoming 2025 as a year grounded in roots, regeneration & reciprocity as we share and build on the humble beginnings of project @papuanblak ::
Pics here from 2023, more to share this coffee journey with smallholder farmers in the Papua New Guinea highlands. PNG coffee will continue as a showcase on our roasting & coffee bar line up this year 🇵🇬

Coffee is a cash crop that remains a significant supportive income to many people across PNG, who are traditional custodians of their land and food network systems.
Challenges to overcome for many include improving infrastructure, lack of market access, low yields and price inconsistency. These topics surrounding quality and pricing will be communicated in their own right in relation to this project. Opportunities that are identified however include increasing quality and improving farming practices, youth engagement in farming and conservation of traditional lands & food networks.

Cheers to our customers for purchasing these Papuan Blak beans (that are contributing to kickstarting vital farm improvements), wantoks on the ground in PNG and farmers for their work.
