I am so excited to announce that I have officially committed to Kansas Wesleyan University to continue my academic and softball career! I am beyond grateful for this opportunity and cannot wait to become a Coyote! 🐺💜

First and foremost, I want to thank God for guiding me throughout this journey and giving me the strength, opportunities, and people I have needed along the way. His plan has always been bigger than mine, and I’m so thankful for where He has led me.

Thank you to my mom, dad, and sister for always believing in me, supporting me, and being there through every high and low. I would not be where I am today without you guys.

Thank you to my coaches, Louis, Felicity, Pat, Sara, and Coach Gibbens, for everything you have done for me and for continuing to push me to become a better player and person. I am also so thankful for all of my past coaches who have played a part in my softball journey and helped me get to where I am today.

To all of my teammates, past and present, thank you for all the memories, laughs, support, and countless hours spent together on and off the field. You guys have made this game so much more special, and I am so grateful for every friendship and memory softball has given me.

To everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, thank you. Every practice, game, lesson, conversation, and sacrifice has helped shape me into the player I am today. I am so grateful for everyone who has believed in me along the way.

Thank you to Kansas Wesleyan University and Coach Elliott for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue doing what I love at the next level. I am so excited for this next chapter!

God,

Thank you for the gifts You’ve given others and myself to help build the woman I am today. To placing people on my path that I’ll always hold respect for. To giving me injuries every year to test my grit, gratitude, and patience. To the relationships and teammates I will have for a lifetime. God, I thank You for every minute You gave me on that field. I write this with tears in my eyes, not because I’m sad it’s over, but because I’m so blessed with the opportunities You’ve given me. To my teammates who are still fortunate enough to still be playing, God please remind them to keep falling in love with softball, to keep showing up when things get tough. Remind them this is all in Your plan, and to let go of the stress and anxiety that comes with the sport.

My body is ready to rest from competitive sports, but my soul will always ache to put on that dirty leather glove and play some ball. Who knew a sport filled with so much failure, would make me feel the most free and loved.

Coyote Softball will play Ottawa University at 1:30 PM
