My annual proof of life post (:

Hi friends, I’m Kya! I figured it was time for a fresh little hello around here! If you’re new, welcome! And if you’ve been here for a while, thank you for sticking around (: I’m a Northern Michigan-based lifestyle and wedding photographer with a love for creating intentional, timeless portraits while leaving room for all the candid, unscripted, and natural moments that make every story unique.

A little about me outside of the photo world— I’m married to my best friend, Micah (the loml), and we LOVE Jesus with our whole hearts. We spend much of our time pouring into the next generation through our ministry here in NoMi. I also love my cat, Wiggy, anything outdoorsy/athletic related, traveling, and will find just about any excuse to explore somewhere new!

The next season is already filling up with travel in the best way — Italy, Hawaii, Colorado, Tennessee, Chicago, Florida, and of course all over beautiful Northern Michigan. So many places to look forward to, and so much to be grateful for.

I am beyond thankful for the people, community, and opportunities this little business has brought into my life the past 3 years, and I couldn’t be happier that you’re here!! 💌

Doing life together, growing in faith, and encouraging one another every step of the way. So thankful and blessed for this community that the Lord has placed in my life and the profound impact that this group along with many others has had in my life. “ Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are doing.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:11
