Happy Heavenly Father’s Day to my special Dad! This Father’s Day is hitting me a little different…I am not a dad myself but imagine it’s one of the greatest gifts. One that comes with many situations, challenges and emotions. I came out to my dad, mom, family and friends almost 20 years ago (the most terrifying moment of my life) and was embraced 100%. But I have one regret…before my dad died I didn’t thank him for his unconditional love, support, and acceptance. And years later the power of hearing from my dad, “Jerome- I am so proud of you and Kyle, you’re such a great team and I love you both”. The power of those words from a father to his gay son are immeasurable. Listen up Dads(parents)!!! Remember that your kids are a gift. Listen to them, love them, support them and accept them! Happy Father’s Day 💙and Happy Pride Month!🏳️‍🌈

Yesterday, @kygoebel, @jbbodenhamer and I had our first meeting with the team from @waysidewaifs to start brainstorming ideas for their feline sunroom renovation and @officialtobinator’s memorial. I am so grateful for these two friends who are volunteering their design expertise on this project, and to Robin Rowland, Wayside’s Vice President of Donor Relations and Communications.

In total, over 700 people have donated to Patrick’s memorial fund, raising over $131,000 for the shelter. I am in awe of the generous spirit you all have shown in my late husband’s memory. I know he would be grateful ❤️🐈

P.S. As of yesterday, both of these kittens are still available for adoption!

Running a half marathon has been a goal (read: incredibly hard challenge) I have wanted to accomplish since like forever, but have totally failed at over and over again. Apparently, I was afraid to be too uncomfortable.

Well, yesterday I miraculously got to check that item off the bucket list!

Turns out mind over matter is undeniably a thing, and bringing along Saint friends to run beside you is so super helpful—a truly extraordinary experience. I mean, what a wild morning!

To all y’all who run full marathons, God bless you, because wow.

Shout out to the world’s best friends and family who showed up (both physically and virtually) at all the right moments—literally appearing out of nowhere—along the stunning route with silly LOUD cheers and much needed words of encouragements. Especially considering I did not really tell most of them I was doing this hysterical endeavor.

Find people who find a way to celebrate you regardless. Such a wonderful surprise! Crazy humbled and appreciative.

And all the love, goodness, and gratitude to the Samantha to my Teeny, the Roberta to my Chrissy—Molls, I couldn’t have done it without you! You’re the real MVP. No one else I would want to wait in line with for a porta-potty at 6am before insanely gallivanting around the city in our good luck glitter and fresh spray tans. Turn up the Jock Jams and Fraulein Maria!

{Oh, and since I now feel like I am giving an acceptance speech for an Oscar, I would like to thank the Academy, The Hollywood Foreign Press, and my fellow nominees who all shined in their individual performances...A.K.A I am aware I am making this seem as though I climbed Mount Everest, but I do not care, because for me that would be the equivalent.)

Slow and steady may not win the race, but you better believe they finish it!

Also, everything hurts and I am dying. But I finally freaking did it!!! Thus, bring on all the future uncomfortable challenges!

This summer, thus far, has provided so much togetherness it’s all become one big, beautiful blur. And I am so very grateful for that blurry chaos.
