It’s been a ride…
Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. The lessons I’ve learned, the experiences I’ve gained, and the people I’ve met. I wouldn’t be the person I am without it. Truly blessed.

Although this post season period of training is somewhat brief, it can be a really affective time if you take advantage of it.

For instance, during this period, you do not have to implement mass amounts of movements that closely relate to your sport (in this instance basketball) Because you are so far away from playing, its wise to spend as much time performing movements away from this as well as experimenting with movements you would want to see come the early off or pre season.

I’ve been seeing a lot of recent content depicting gymnastics style movements and foundational movement patterns. With these exercises we create greater body movement awareness and its efficiency to move in different planes that we are not usually exposed to.

Big shoutout to these coaches who have influenced my mindset on the patterns. @pedullaperformance @anthonycockrill @coach_rhenry @mcinneswatson

And then finally, in reference to movements away from sport specific, this is the time where we get better at these compound movements and aim to add in a little strength and size before getting into the summer work.

P.S. we ended the week with an Easter egg because…well it was Easter I guess 🪺
