Hi guys my name is Kyle, I’m from Ferndale Washington. I’m 100% committed to GCU! I’m studying elementary education. I like coffee, thrifting, hanging with friends, and going on adventures. I’m excited to meet new people, I’m very out going! So don’t be afraid to reach out! My snap is kylegunter2

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
-1 Thessalonians 5:18

(Sorry this is a day late)
This year has been chaos, I’m sure nobody saw this coming. Class of 2020 didn’t get to have a graduation, class of 2021 may not either. I definitely did not see my senior year playing out like this. Many of us have become disconnected with friends. The mental illness rates have climbed, people have lost jobs, people have lost loved ones, and so many more terrible tragedies. Even though this year has been one of the hardest ones yet-in many of our lifetimes- there is still so much to be thankful for.

I think that it is when we we face these difficult times, that our blessings become the most real to us.

This year God has been revealing to me more and more, the beauty of is overlying plan. You may not understand why something is happening right now, but God is in control and he knows what is going to happen- all we have to do is remain faithful, and trust him.

Although there were so many terrible things I didn’t see coming, I also didn’t see how God was going to use those events to lead to so many other great things. This year, God has placed so many wonderful new friends and opportunities in my life, which helped me to grow as a person. I have grown to know each of my family members so much deeper than I had before and I am so thankful for them. I am thankful for Gods greatness and the grace that he has poured out upon me.

And to wrap up this philosophical TED talk with a cliche: Flowers do not bloom without a little rain. Everything has its purpose, even pain. ❤️
