POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

@tocadorbar is closing its doors for the final time next Saturday 💔 and whilst I’m absolutely gutted to hear that news…I’m very glad to have been a part of it’s journey.

The acting strikes hit not long after I moved back to Vancouver, and that led me back to working behind the bar.

Tocador was my favourite watering hole in the city, and if I was going to bartend again…I wanted it to be there.

It was one of the rare places with an actual identity, in a city full of cookie cutter flatpack pint providers.

It reminded me of where I’m from, through cultures of where I’d been, in the city where I ended up.

Longing for something of substance and finding it on the corner of Main and 10th.

Guy and Dale created something special in the heart of Mt.Pleasant, and the neighbourhood is loosing another gem.

I experienced some of the highest highs and the lowest lows whilst either shaking or slamming drinks in this place, and met some of the best people along the way.
They got me through the bad times and were the ones responsible the good times.

From the lock ins, the mid-shift shots, the music, the memories…this place will always hold a special place in my heart.

If you’re still in the city, get down to enjoy it one last time. Have a dolphin fingers on the rocks for me.

Thank Guy for all the blood, sweat, tears and tequila he poured into this place…and wish him all the best for the future.

Here’s to Tocador…
…and to all I got to share a drink with or make a drink for within its flamingo clad walls.

Last Thursday’s Live at The Drayton with Kae Kurd was one hell of a night!

An even bigger crowd than our launch night, an amazing line-up and an absolutely brilliant, up-for-it audience who brought the energy from start to finish. The feedback has been fantastic, and we’re so pleased with how the night went! ❤️

Huge thanks to Kae Kurd, Michael Odewale, Kyle Brownrigg, and Su Gee, for smashing it, and to everyone who came along and made the night so special.
