Schoeman's wedding day 💍

I was about seven when you asked, “What do you want for Christmas?” I said, “I want to be a Blight.” At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant—but today, at thirty, I realize you were already teaching me. You showed me how to stand tall: generosity in your heart, gentleness in your spirit, and strength in your actions.

You built a business, supported our family, stepped into a home with two kids—and then brought Zoe into the world. You not only protected us—you gave us a legacy. And the lessons you’ve passed on?
1. Take responsibility—it’s all on you, and that power is yours.
2. Lean into faith—without the “man upstairs,” nothing lasts.

But the greatest gift? Belonging to you. That’s the best present I’ve ever received—and always will.

You also stood by me as the best man at my wedding—because you’re my best man, in every sense.

@tweritson Thank you for your love, your support, and the way you’ve lifted your daughter. Happy Father’s Day to you too.

Here’s to all the dads and father‑figures—those who are here, those who’ve passed on, and those who guide us from afar. If I’m even half the father you both are one day, I’ll be doing something right. ❤️

Three months deep.
Some wins, some losses. A lot of lessons.
Burned a few old bridges — mostly the ones I used to hide behind.
One version down. A better one being built.
Everything is created twice: first in the mind, then in reality.
We carry on.
