Viva Mexico! 🇲🇽
In the spirit of Mexican Independence Day we would like to highlight the time spent on our field study.
Every year the 3rd year ArchSci student make their way on a field study for roughly a week, Accompanied by the Interior designers. This year we visited Mexico City!
The week spent in Mexico City was filled with architecture, art, food and culture. Lots of sketching, lots of walking, and thousands of memories.

Last May, the third-year students from the Architectural Science and Interior Design programs travelled to Mexico City for our field study course 🇲🇽

Over seven days, we explored the city through its architecture, culture, and history, visiting a variety of museums, markets, and iconic buildings along the way. From historic landmarks to contemporary spaces, it was an incredible opportunity to experience and learn from the city beyond the classroom.

A week full of architecture, new experiences, and lots of memories 🤍

FULL TESTIMONY BELOW 👇👇

Each morning before we head to campus to witness, we go to the church for our Individual Education Plan (IEP) time. During my IEP time, I was watching a lecture video given by Dr. Andrew Compton about how to gain spiritual help. In the video, he mentioned that when witnessing, we should ask ourselves, “Do I care whether this person lives a happy life, finds God, discovers their purpose, or finds joy and eternal happiness?” He explained that if we really take the time to truly think about it, we’ll come to realize that we do care about others. Then he mentioned that True Mother feels this way towards all 8 billion people of the world. As soon as he said this, I felt an overwhelming gratitude for True Mother. I realized just how selfless she truly is. She cares so deeply for the world and for people she doesn’t even know personally, and she’s working so incredibly hard, even at her age. The feeling I experienced came out of nowhere, and I felt an immense love for True Mother. It’s almost indescribable. In that moment, I felt so grateful for all she has done.

I had to pause the video because I found myself reflecting on all of True Mother’s efforts, and I wasn’t paying attention. I felt so moved and inspired that I broke down crying. My heart overflowed with so much love and gratitude, but also at the same time so much sorrow and sadness at how hard she continues to work for the sake of the world.

This experience was so strange to me because I never felt this way before, but I am so grateful for it. I think God knew I was longing to feel a stronger connection to True Mother. After that experience, I felt a lightness and a deep sense of joy and happiness that lasted throughout the day and into the week. I’m continuously reflecting on my experiences in this program, and I’m so grateful for moments like these because they allow me to recognize my growth and breakthroughs, as well as opportunities to strengthen my faith and conviction. I feel inspired to continue growing, knowing that Heavenly Parent and True Parents’ love for me is unchanging.

We did what we stayed in LA to do which was to go surfing with Aki, which honestly felt better doing since I planned it hella long ago rather then the flat waves I didn’t catch.
Shinji’s 14th birthday
And finally spending the fourth with the LA gang, plus a little SHOJIN NRG at the end, before coming back to Sacramento.

Did I purposely buy a $15 camera for that crappy early 2000s quality to film my trip to the motherland?
