My heart is so full. I’ve tried all morning to round up all the words that encompass all the silly, sappy feelings that have been bouncing around my brain since yesterday. I was surrounded by so many friends (including the calls/texts from my non-LA bubs!)—I looked down a table of old and new friends all smiling, laughing, and celebrating together so effortlessly and realized if you’d told a younger me that I would be so lucky to get to love all of these people, to get to build this little family of people that mean the world to me, I never would have believed you. I spend a lot of time dreading birthday plans, I tend to err on the side of pessimistic caution. I’m trying to turn that all around and hope to change my own luck— but it looks like it’s already in motion. For anyone still reading this mush, thanks (and sorry). Here’s to another year on our goofy floating rock in space. Thanks for putting up with the whimsy and everything in between 🖤
