Don’t we look beautiful, underneath the stars? ✨

Yet another year of exciting and overwhelmingly huge waves of love and joy. 🥹

I used to feel doubtful of myself for constantly making connections with new people and MORE people. I think of Dunbar’s number** (yes, I finished a book lol) and wonder if I can really tend to all of it, or maybe I can’t and just have to let… life lol.

But having this (waaaaay) extended birthday celebration was the right decision. It reminded me of how the people I care for show up, and I think that’s what makes this year so special.

Hep Hep Hooray to another year! 🎉 PAK! GANERN!

Hard Place, by H.E.R. I absolutely loved this softer, intimate choir, and our small but mighty 4 person tenor section holding down the melody! @kenterdavies @premabrooklyn 💕🧘🏻‍♀️🎶

AMERIICAN REQUIEM, by Beyoncé. A dream! 😍 One of my favorite songs at the beautiful @judsonchurchnyc. @mstinaknowles thank you so much for sharing a clip of our singing, and for creating @beyonce 🙌❤️ In case you’d like to hear our entire rendition, here it is 🙂

The group is a group of strangers who came together for 3 hours, practiced the song, and sang together with @gaiamusiccollective, where anyone is welcome. Thanks to @kenyonduncanmusic for the incredible arrangement and great energy 💜

Fell back, fell hard, fell apart but still choosing to fall forward. 🍁

It’s been an -extended- season of constant movement — changing places and crossing paths with so many people (not all pictured). These people kept me going.

I’m grateful to be in much more solid ground. Whatever direction the wind turns next, I’ll chart it better. 🍃
