When I started Custom Built Strength in a 400-square-foot garage, I had no idea what it would eventually become. I just knew I loved coaching, believed in what I was doing, and wanted to create a place where athletes could get the guidance, support, and training they deserved.

What started as a small dream has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. But what means the most to me isn’t the size of our facility, the equipment we’ve added, or how much we’ve grown.

It’s the people, the relationships, and the community that have grown alongside us.

It’s watching young athletes develop into confident high school competitors. It’s seeing those same athletes go on to compete at the collegiate level. It’s building relationships with families, supporting local teams, and being a small part of so many athletes’ journeys.

Those relationships are what make Custom Built special.

We’re locally owned and operated, but to me, that means more than simply owning a business in Ogden.

It means being personally invested in the community we serve.

I’m still on the floor coaching every day. I know our athletes, I know their families, and I care about what happens in their lives beyond the walls of our gym. Their successes matter to me, their challenges matter to me, and the trust their families place in us is something I never take for granted.

Our goal has never been to build a gym on every corner. It’s been to build something that truly matters to the community we’re part of.

We’re not just a business that operates in this community. We’re a business that was built by this community, supported by this community, and committed to giving back to it through the athletes and families we serve.

To everyone who has walked through our doors, trusted us with their development, recommended us to a friend, or supported us along the way: thank you.

You’ve helped turn a dream that started in a garage into something much bigger than a gym.

We’re proud to be locally owned. Even prouder to be community built.

I’ve spent the last few months imagining what it might feel like to create a place where women could keep returning to their creativity — not because they need to become better, monetize it, or prove themselves.
