Sneaking off for sunset photos is a must, especially if you get married at @theboathouseatmercerlake . Ali & John got some really pretty skies and a beautiful moonrise on their wedding day and it was the perfect few minutes for them to decompress and revel in the magic of the day.

Yihan and Andrew moved through their wedding day with an ease that made every moment feel unforced. They kept each other at the center of their day. Staying close, smiling through happy tears, and sharing in every moment together with their friends and family surrounding them.

The day echoed a quiet but unmistakable beauty in the same way that their love did. Misty mountains in the distance, candle light stretching down the tables and classic white and green florals heightened the romance of the day. Every detail intentionally created an atmosphere where love felt easy and warm, but their sweet connection and story is what truly gave the day meaning and importance.

That is the beauty of crafting a wedding day that leaves room for presence. Planning just enough to trust and let go; forget about the camera, stay close to the people you love, and let the photographs come from the real story of your day.

Years from now, these images won’t only remind Yihan and Andrew how their wedding looked. They’ll hold memories of the laughter, the softness, and all the ways they found each other throughout the day.

THE MCLAUGHLINS!!! 🤍

A summer day celebrating the sweetest newlyweds. It was such a joy documenting the love between these two, the people who showed up to celebrate them so wholeheartedly, and every little moment that made their day uniquely theirs. From heartfelt moments to one unforgettable dance floor, this day was one I’ll be thinking about for a long time.

The party photos are coming soon... and trust me, they’re worth the wait. 🥂

Your wedding is never just another wedding for me.

It’s your wedding. Your moments. Your love story.

It means everything to me that my couples trust me to help them bring their wedding days to life and every single one of my couples has a very special place in my heart. I cry during your first look, ceremony and first dance. I cheer loudly when you get introduced as a couple for the first time. I quietly watch your day unfold, and get to see you enjoy it, lost in the moments with your loved ones. I genuinely feel so much joy for you when you officially get married. And genuinely feel a bit sad at the end of the night, when I hug you goodbye because I know that’s the end of our journey together.

But I couldn’t be more grateful for the moments we’ve shared in the planning process together and couldn’t be happier for you two and your new life together! You two, your love story and your wedding day happiness mean so much more to me than you know. 🤍
