In the wonderful landscape of the Luberon in the Provence, France sits a hidden gem between forest, lavender fields and hill ranges. The old historical bastide and house of @la.huppe define a space where we conceived an open Mediterranean garden, formalised with typical retention walls in local stone, maximising the beautiful views over the lower meadows and hills while making equally a cascade of rooms of flexible use. While only started growing from last winter, the intention is already apparent. Simple geometric gestures complement a complex pattern of vegetation, ensuring ever-changing beauty across the seasons and an immersive experience when wandering through the garden. By using mostly native species adapted to the local soil and climate, the garden is built to age gracefully, gaining deeper character with each passing year. @plantenhoutgoed @phg.landscapes @la.huppe
