Over the last few weeks, we have continued our workshops for the project Ist das Oper oder kann das weg?🎭
These pictures capture some of our time with students from the Mittelschule Albert-Schweitzer Graz and the Mittelschule Frohnleiten — who are working on creative contributions for the performances (not only for a young audience!) on the 23rd (intern), 24th and 25th of June. In the program, L‘Opera (forse) by @francescofilidei, as well as pieces by David Lang and Salvatore Sciarrino.
All the details on our website or the link in bio.

This week we launched the workshops for our project “Ist das Oper, oder kann das weg?” Inspired by @francescofilidei 's contemporary music theatre piece L’opera (forse) (The Maybe Opera), several student teams are developing their own visions and interpretations of a “table and pocket opera.” In these miniature formats, everyday objects transform into musical instruments and scenic characters.

Six classes from the Mittelschule Frohnleiten, Musikmittelschule Edelschrott and Albert-Schweitzer Mittelschule are exploring their own ideas of what art is — and what might be “left out” — drawing inspiration from Filidei’s concept of an anti-opera.

The project highlights opera’s potential as a multidisciplinary art form. Just as numerous crafts and professions come together in the theatre, the students approach Filidei’s work collaboratively and across disciplines: designing costumes and scenography, developing alternative dramaturgies, and composing new music for newly imagined scenes.
Public presentations will take place on 24 June (10:00 and 12:00) and 25 June (10:00 and 19:30) in @taograz . Further information can be found in our website, ticket reservations are already available (🔗 in bio)

What is your imagination telling you?

Thank you @joonae.hk and @journeywithcompassion for this fierce reminder that collective liberation needs our joyful imagination!

Please support @haitham.juma1 @amjad_gaza1 @tamara_abu_dayer and so many others in realising their dreams and ensuring their imagination is kept alive. Keep them in your prayers. Send them cash and love. (links in my bi o)

This video is clunky and awkward and there are countless other amazing individuals I could mention. You're all in my prayers.
