My Hair is Beautiful org. is so proud of our community and the commitment of our young girls who attended Natural Hair-We Care workshop.
🩵
As always our workshops begin with the “I am beautiful” creed which validates their beauty history and self esteem, self worth & confidence. Of course they were shy at first but it’s truly a known ice breaker as they watched each other be celebrated while looking at themselves in the mirror affirming their beauty.
🩵
The girls learned a little about my background as a younger stylist, salon owner and of course my long lived celebrity stylist status & educator.
🩵
I was able to host and teach 14 young enthusiastic girls in the fundamentals of Natural Hair Care I.e. detangling, twisting & braiding with extensions… Honestly, I was surprised by their braiding and twisting skills so I pivoted to teaching the shining stars how to install braiding hair to achieve length to their braids/twist.
🩵
They were excellent!
The energy was great!
🩵
I want to thank all that we’re evolved in making this event a success.
🩵
To our esteemed donor who gave so generously for the girls to attend at no cost. We thank you💋!!!!!

To our product sponsor @evolvingtextures who BELIEVES & generously supports MHIB.💋

To @tobeokeke who worked so hard marketing our event 💋

To the parents who invested the time for their daughters to learn a skill and get a peek into styling hair. We appreciate you all💋

MHiB is dedicated to teaching our community of youth and providing a safe space where they can thrive. 🩵
We would love your participation to help us help you by your donations.
