As the summer air grows denser and hotter, we move towards different sounds as well. La Ventola presents two new tracks, 𝗜𝗽𝗻𝗼 𝟭𝟰𝟬 and 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹, from the Paths of Magnetic Garden series, a stylistic branching out of Gian Andrea Tabacchi’s studio practice since the early 2000s. Emphasizing the diatonic and modal structures, while mixing natural and electronic sounds, these tracks are inspired in part by early encounters with electronic music in Rome in the 1970s - in particular Alvin Curran’s “Canti e Vedute dal Giardino Magnetico” (both as a record and as a live performance). The series is also deeply influenced by the rural environment Tabacchi lives and works in since the mid 90s, as both a composer and farmer in the Lazio region.
