Our Miller St project is moving along smoothly thanks to @lab_constructions. Very tight site and building on the boundary, but they’re absolutely nailing it!

And suddenly, it's looking like a home. I first saw this stone in February 2024 and fell@in love with it. The stair screen was but an idea, which thanks to Staircom and Lab is finally coming together, and the light was found blackened and broken, leaning against a wall in a garage at a house about to be demolished. We've given it new life ( there's more to come in this light story......) And now, to carry on packing! aye aye aye!

Another week, and more progress. Cornices, digging, finally appreciating the amazing stacker doors and windows, and the green bathroom! Countdown is on to a Spring Move In!

Still standing, still laughing, Anthony and I still smiling (and still talking to each other). We've nearly done it! I can't quite believe it.....

Cleaning up today a small dark circle caught my eye as I ran the site vac over weatherboards and floorboards, whisking away lathe and plaster dust and hundred year old spiderwebs. Thankfully I looked a little closer before sucking it up the vacuum..... 1922 Penny #heritagerenovation #onepenny #commonwealthofaustralia #ownerbuilder

I wielded that crowbar oh so carefully, gently gently removing the weatherboards. I was NOT expecting the pink though! Anyone who knows me knows how much I love pink. My ensuite will be pink (as the only woman in the house, it's a must....) But to see the entrance bathed in a beautiful softness - the same colour I was planning on painting the front door and front gate. This house and I are singing from the same hymn sheet. There were some tears of joy, a lot of me screaming out in sheer delight as the removal of each weatherboard revealed more of the stunning entrance which has been concealed most likely since the 1950's.... (sorry to the @lab_constructions boys who had to endure my squeals) There she is! Welcome back, my beauty. #ownerbuilder #heritagerenovation #leadlight #federationhouse #victorianarchitecture
