POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Thanks so much to @thescenecalgary for including Ghost Factory in your list of 25 in 25. We’re humbled to even be mentioned in the same breath as many of the legends included in the piece. It’s incredibly flattering that Tales of a Nothing Kid means anything to anyone and we appreciate the privilege to play our bullshit in a town swimming with so much talent.
Special thanks to @estbrew and @thisfeelsbetter for hosting the night and extra special thanks to all the musicians who make Calgary the incredible place that it is.
Ok, enough sincerity. Back to making fart noises and calling it ‘art’… Oops, I Arted Out Some Comic Sans Content isn’t a terrible song title… ok back to work.

I had the privilege of being part of the selection committee for The Scene’s 25 for 25 project, helping to select twenty five of the best albums to come from Calgary in this century. You can find the list of twenty five albums in the December issue of The Scene (available for free at the coolest spots in the city), which includes my blurb on Lab Coast’s Remember the Moon as seen above.

My other four submissions appearing on the complete album longlist (which you can find on The Scene’s website at thescenecalgary dot com) were as follows:
- Pre-Nup - Oh Well (Josiah & Sara Hughes’ tweepoppunk masterpiece, with key track “Internet Arguments,” a timeless song about the art of getting into a fight on social media)
- Rum Runner - In Guns at Cyrano’s (a big album for Teenage Ben, featuring a version of “My Rifle, My Pony and Me” from Rio Bravo and killer originals like “The Punks Are Due On Maple Street”)
- Women - Public Strain (you can’t have a list without the Flegel’s and CVG and this is my favourite)
- The Furnace - The Desire to Become Human: Collected Works 2021-23 (the album that put Kaiden Jackman on the map, who is one of the most positive and productive forces in the current Calgary music scene, with the third iteration of the Black Ice festival fast approaching!)

Hello there!! I wanted to reach out on behalf of @gnarcystore . We've got some seriously rad jewelry lined up, and I reckon you'd be the ideal candidate to rock our latest collection of masculine accessories!

If you're up for it, we'd love to hook you up with a trio of pieces on the house! Yup, you read that right – totally FREE!

Just shoot a DM over to our main account @gnarcystore (if you dont see a DM button, just reply to any of their stories), and our guy Shawn will sort you out pronto! But hey, don't sleep on it – spots are filling up fast, and we'd hate for you to miss out on the action! Cheers, mate! 🤙
