🍗 @labellachicago Loop 🇮🇹 | Chicago, IL

Chicken Vesuvio is a Chicago classic, so I had high expectations going in. The roasted chicken was genuinely excellent — crispy skin, tender meat, and a bright white wine and lemon sauce that brought everything together. Unfortunately, the potatoes lacked consistent crispiness, and the peas were soggy and underseasoned. The chicken was the clear highlight, but the sides left plenty to be desired.

The Chocolate Gelato was perfectly fine, but nothing memorable.

Overall, a solid meal, but not one I’d go out of my way for. If you’re in the area, it’s worth considering, but Chicago has plenty of better Italian options worth exploring.

Seems like a lovely day to drink at every bar in the @thegraychi. The hotel has three very different concepts within its walls: Boleo, Vol. 39, and La Bella Trattoria. You can go from slurping margaritas in the sunshine to sipping Manhattans in a low-lit lounge in seconds.

We recently visited the newly opened @labellachicago in Streeterville, and everything was packed with flavor. 🇮🇹

They serve handmade pasta, stone-fired pizza, Italian favorites, and have a beautiful covered patio that’s perfect for summer dining in Chicago.

What we ordered:
🍤 Shrimp Fra Diavolo — delicious
🥗 Roasted Beets & Burrata — so good
🧀 Arancini — a must-try
🍕 Funghi Pizza — full of flavor

Good food, good company, and good energy—that’s always the vibe. 🤍

Daily Affirmation: life is meant to be enjoyed, one beautiful meal at a time.
