Day 1 camping done! It had been a while! The hour plus a lot of minutes it took us how to remember and put up our fabulous tent was a harsh reminder of why we hadn’t done it in a while! Now Noa is snug as a bug and sleeping and we are chilling in the living area with a nice cold drink we remember why it’s so amazing to camp. I know it’s not for everyone but it’s simply so good for my soul. 🥰🏕️🥂☀️….🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 That sunset though 🌞🕶️

Day 2 exploring the Ayrshire coast. Spent the day at @culzean castle 🏰 Definitely not a place to miss!…..except we had so much fun on the grounds and adventure cove we didn’t make the last entrance time to get inside the stunning castle! Good thing we have our @nationaltrustforscotland membership and don’t live too far away so can visit again!

Racing the @lovetrailsfestival 16km trail race with @dare2b_sports 🏁

A start and finish right in the centre of the festival site meant some high energy crowds to both see us off and cheer us home.

And what a course this was. Flowing trails, punishing hills, sea views and even some wild horses 🐎

I made it back in one piece and had some well earned refreshments before exploring the rest of the festival 🎪

Walking through Dodd Wood you pass a viewpoint with a bench. The bench is in memory of a lady who loved the view from there, and the quote by Oscar Wilde on a plaque on the bench really resonated with me:

“We all look at nature too much, and live with her too little“

Reminds you to take a moment, breathe, appreciate the incredible views around you, then continue up to the summit ❤️

No crowds. No noise. Just boots on the trail, mountain air in my lungs, and views that make every step worth it. High up in the Lake District, surrounded by mountains, fresh air, and endless scenery, it’s impossible not to stop and take it all in. These views never get old—I could sit up here for hours, switch off from the world, and simply soak it all in. Out here, everything slows down, the mind clears, and life feels a little simpler. This is where I feel most alive—chasing summits, finding peace with every climb, and appreciating just how incredible nature really is. Nothing beats it😮‍💨💯🙌😍🔥➡️🎒🥾⛰️🏞️🔝👀🦾🥷📹📸☑️✅

✅No work and ✅ nice weather meant I was a totally overwhelmed with choice about where to head to on Saturday 😅

There wasn’t chance of a Bivvy, as had to be back for the hound, so stayed local exploring a nameless (on OS map) summit with a trig. Was also pathless and full of bog 🤎😁 can you believe no one else was up there 😆

Still so much to explore right at my feet 💚💚💚
