Nobody told us that preparing to be a wife starts with us and not with finding a husband. 🫠

Preparing to be a wife isn’t a one size fits all journey. There is no perfect prayer, no formula, no checklist. So if that is what you came here looking for, no hard feelings, but this is not that page.

What I do know is that preparation starts from the inside out. God's primary desire is that we are complete in Him before anyone else enters the picture. Not almost complete. Complete right now, in THIS season.

One of the ways He has been preparing me is by teaching me how to be still and trust that I am kept and covered. Because when we don’t KNOW that we’re covered, we become vulnerable to counterfeits sent to pull us off course 😳

And then He showed me something that stopped me this month......I thought I had faith. I told myself I was believing Him for a husband. But He revealed that I was operating in unbelief without even knowing it. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please Him.

Preparation is an inward work, and God is doing it in you right now whether you can feel it or not.

Stay locked in. There is more to come. 🤞🏾

What if the thing you have been entertaining is actually a distraction sent to pull you off course?

I want to be honest with you today because this is something we do not talk about enough. God promises to guard our hearts with His peace, but Philippians 4:6 makes it clear that this comes after we bring everything to Him in prayer, with a thankful heart, not just the easy parts.

I didn’t always live by this. The seasons where I moved on my own feelings instead of praying first were the seasons that cost me the most.

When you actually bring everything to God, including the people you are attracted to and the connections you are curious about, He will speak. Sometimes what He shows you will not be what you were hoping to hear. He may reveal that someone is a distraction, or that a connection is not for you in this season. As hard as that is to receive, that redirection is His protection over you.

None of us are above the pull of attraction, but what matters is that we submit it to Him instead of trusting our own understanding.

Invite God into the places you have been quiet about. He is not intimidated by what is there, and He will give you what you need to stand.

Your help is on the way sis, watch God move.

Hey yall, hey!

Welcome back and if you are new here, welcome home.

I want to take a moment to reintroduce myself and more importantly, reintroduce why I am here because this page has a purpose and I want you to feel every bit of it.

God placed it on my heart to show up for His daughters. Not in a preachy, have it all together kind of way, but in a real, transparent, been through it and still standing kind of way. I am here to encourage you. To remind you that your single season is not something to survive, it is something to live fully inside of.

Every post, every word, every drop of wisdom I share here is intentional. Think of it as a warm cup of encouragement (a.k.a as a # singlecupofE poured just for you ☺️Something to sip on, sit with, and carry into your day 🙏🏾☕️

You can expect honesty here. You can expect grace here. You can expect conversations about faith, singleness, self-love, healing, and what it really looks like to trust God with your WHOLE life not just the parts that feel easy 🤷🏾‍♀️

I am grateful you are here. Now pull up a seat and let's do this together @itsalexa4real

LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures from my sweet bride @gayathrik35 from her late July wedding! This was a special wedding that I got to be a part of as her husband and his family were family friends from my childhood!!! I hadn’t seen them in over 25 years. It was really heartwarming to see them again after all this time and especially to be part of such a beautiful moment in their lives! So lucky and blessed to have worked with such a wonderful family and have had such a stunning and sweet bride that I now get to call a friend ❤️
.
Swipe to see the amazing pictures @labhousestudios took of the process of Gayathri’s foot/leg henna! I’m absolutely obsessed with all of this!

Is anybody in here blessed?

🙋🏾‍♀️

I’m blessed.

…to be so lavishly loved by God
…to be so generously taken care of by my friends and family
…to see another year
…to be in the land of the living (please shout hallelujah 8 times for ya girl)
…to be filled with joy
…to have a clear and renewed mind
…to be full of hope and belief
…to know that all things are made beautiful in His time
