I am still not over this show.

This show has truly been a dream come true, and it still feels like a whirlwind. From the auditions alone I knew how energetic and electric this production was going to be, and I am grateful I got to be a part of it.

Greg, you taught me a lot, and will hold a special place in my heart. And as much as I had bitched and moaned about how it was hot and sweaty as fuck, I miss my velour turtleneck.

Thank you to the 5th Avenue Theatre and this AMAZING production and creative team for letting me live out one of my dream shows with a dreamy production.

And I miss my special squirrels dearly.

I never imagined I’d ever do A Chorus Line, especially at this stage of my life. Yet here I was in the show, dancing like I used to 15 years ago. It came during one of the hardest periods in my life, one that I am very much still in, but the show brought about so many moments of profound beauty. It was a reminder of all the extraordinary feelings and experiences that life has to offer. I can still do difficult things and I plan on continuing to do that for as long as I can. Cheers to Butch, Bobby, Don and everyone in this wonderful cast that made life so colorful and lovely over the past 7 weeks. ❤️

Closing out a chapter I’ll carry with me forever.

How lucky am I to have been casted as Richie in Denis Jones’ A Chorus Line, surrounded by some of the most extraordinary artists I’ve ever had the privilege to work with. This show reminded me just how much I love being on that line, and how much I love being a dancer. I found so much of myself in Richie: his energy, his drive, his eagerness.

I’ve learned so much from this experience — this show and I’m filled with so much gratitude.

THE TAKEAWAYS:
Remain a student. Stay open and never stop learning. Lean in to uncomfortably. Stay present and always practice gratitude, empathy, and compassion. Perfection is boring and impossible. Be kind to yourself while also pushing yourself.

I’ll never forget this company, this story, or this moment.

Thank you Denis Jones, and thank you @the5thavenuetheatre for an experience that is forever ingrained in me.

With love on a full moon in Herculaneum Missouri,
- Richie (GIMMIE THE BALL) Walters ❤️

A Chaos Line really 🫶🏻

happy opening, a chorus line 🎩⭐️👯‍♀️💌
I first met Maggie as a kid, sitting on the floor of my bedroom, rewinding the movie version of A Chorus Line over and over just to watch “At the Ballet.” I remember thinking what a dream it would be to play her—and also being pretty sure I never would.

seven years ago, I got to meet her again, this time in my twenties, when I played Maggie for the first time.

And tonight, I get to open this show again in my thirties—with seven more years of life, love, loss, growth, and becoming behind me.

A Chorus Line feels different now. Maggie feels different now. I’m different now.

So this isn’t just another opening night.

It’s a homecoming.

Forever your Maggie. 🤍
