The new LB and The Wildes ‘Double A Side’ comes out Friday September 27 on Bandcamp! It features all the usual Wildes subjects (Shaun, Riley, Damian and I) plus Emily Lawler, Henry Wagons and Gabriella Cohen. PLUS it’s a DOUBLE A-side, so you’ll be getting two songs not one. We had a feeling it would be perfect driving music - so I went all the way to the California desert to test it out. Head to Bandcamp now and pre-order/save/stream it and let us know what you think! @gabriellaacohen @emilylawlermusician @henrywagons @rileycatherall @shaun_ryan_82 @damiancafarella

We left Ringabu late this morning and we’re headed for Trondheim - one of my favourite European cities. Last night was another sold-out show and it’s looking good for tonight too. I’m proud and grateful to be on this @hannahadlridge tour and particularly thrilled at the reaction to the record we started making together in our bedrooms mid lockdown on opposite sides of the world. The reviews coming in from publications all over Europe have been very flattering - and it’s also great to see so many people going home from the shows with their own copies.

Whilst I try and paint a picture of this all as being easy and relaxing - that’s not exactly true. We drive five hours plus most days and Hannah and I spend most of that time in the back of the van answering emails, juggling schedules and planning the next tour. We check in and out of hotels (and they’re nice) but we only sleep a few hours each night after load in, sound check, my set, the band set, the load out and the hour or two we spend getting to know the audience after show. But it’s more than worth it - not only for the scenery, but also for the chance to do the thing that we love for and with people in parts of the world I certainly never imagined I would get to.

It was a joy to play The Barn Theatre last evening. Thanks to the people of Oxted and the surrounding area for the warm welcome - and for taking home our music and our tee shirts. We can’t wait to come back. Special thanks for the gifts (you know who you are!) and also very special thanks to Dom and the team for putting it all together for us. Next up we return to the Bedford in London (Balham, to be precise) tonight. #lachlanbryanandthewildes #thewildes #alanfletcher #americanamusic #americanauk

I’ve been hosting my drunken piano bar show at Tamworth for a couple of years now. Basically the concept is that I drink heavily and accompany a bunch of my talented friends on a beautiful instrument that I always feel like I’m only just learning to play. Ok so a little more prep goes into it than I like to admit, but it remains spontaneous and fun - and is always held together by the steady hand of my partner in crime Damian Cafarella. This year we did it for two nights in a row - and it was particularly memorable. Thanks to all those who packed the room - even more thanks to those who got up and sang, and a special shout out to Allison Forbes and Luke Fielding - who enable all the debauchery that happens at The Press Basement Bar during the festival. Here’s a few snaps, all of which were taken by our great mate Bill. @bdonohoe1101

Here we are with Meryl Davis, my date for the 2022 Golden Guitar Awards. She was the honorary Matriarch of The Wildes family that night, but far more importantly she’s a pillar of Australian country music, with a family history in the business that stretches back further than the Tamworth Country Music Festival itself. I only hope we’re tough enough to defend her empire.

I know it’s Wednesday, but I feel like I’m just waking up from this past weekend - one that was so filled with great music and people that it actually felt BETTER than old times. Like all good weekends, it started on a Wednesday, when a bunch of you all came down to George Lane, St Kilda to see the debut performance of my new band The Pleasures. It continued on Friday in Sydney, when we launched the new Wildes record in Marrickville, then back in Victoria on Saturday, when a little festival called SONGMASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE took place at Archie’s Creek - curated by Henry Wagons and myself and featuring so many of our favourite writers - and our own bands! (there’ll be more on that one in a separate post). On Sunday I returned north with Henry for the Newcastle installment of OLD FASHIONED NIGHTS at Lizottes. I had very little sleep but hey I don’t tend to need much of that anyway. Here it all is in pictures, with photographers credited where possible in the bottom left. Big thanks to all the people tagged, especially Shaun, Damian, Riley, Pat and Henry, who between them were present at all of these events. Much love to you all, LB.

One year ago I was in Tamworth amongst the heat, the sunshine, the rain, the storms and some of my favourite people in the world. This time round is a hell of a lot different, and boy do I miss it all! Here’s to next time. 🤞🏼💛

A year ago on this day, I stood on that stage with those I've come to call lifelong friends. The whole experience was surreal to say the least. I've walked on countless stages, been under a lot of bright lights but this night by far, was the most unforgettable show I've ever played and it's all because of the folks I'm on stage with, the ones backstage and the ones cheering from in front and afar. Thanks for making a small town boy feel like a star. 🎸✨
