The moment is getting closer…
⏳ 10 days until our screening.
🎥 1 week until the Film Festival.
Every scene, every word, every moment has led to this.
The countdown continues. 🎬

15 more days!
Turns out the biggest plot twist wasn’t in the script. It was in the way we finally saw it. 🚽🎬
It’s amazing what you discover when you stop taking yourself so seriously.
Looking back… the clues were there all along. We just hadn’t learned how to read them yet.
Nothing says “creative breakthrough” quite like finding meaning in a toilet shot.
The film didn’t change. Our perspective did. We finally caught up to what it had been trying to tell us all along.

Day 2 🎬
Film, stories, and a courthouse that felt like part of the set.

2: Day One schedule of events

3: Day One workshops listing

4: McDonough Welcome Center! What a spectacular “site“. Lol. No wonder so many productions have filmed in this town. Can’t get over the gas station! ⛽️

5: The writer and co-producer of Sweet And Tender in front of one location for the festival. She’s wearing her lucky Alice Walker jeans! Sweet And Tender was screened here the next day.

6: Script readings, book and poster presentations, and audio drama listenings all occurred here! So did good eating 😋

7: The Story On The Square. The place it all started…Registration. Also panels, screenings, nice bookstore and bar downstairs btw! And the place it all ended…Awards ceremony the next day! 🏆

Day 1 of the Festival: remote collaboration —> “reel” life connection
