POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Words can’t describe what’s going on.
We have been HIT HARD AS HELL. Dealing with this unparalleled racial injustice, public lynchings, murder ALL amid a global pandemic seems from a horror film, but Somehow we are actually living it.
.
A few days ago I posted a picture of my husband Phil and the outpouring of love was heart warming in a time of emotional unease. Words won’t heal these wounds. Words won’t change the current state of the nation. Words won’t bring back #GeorgeFloyd or #TrayvonMartin or #TamirRice or #BreonnaTaylor BUT sharing stories of the Black people we love while they are here allows us to take a minute and shine a light on Love and Humanity. Shine a light on your brothers, sisters, daughters, mothers, cousins, best friends, that deserve to be recognized for their humor or intelligence or business savvy or community work or kindness. Attributes that matter and have nothing to do with the color of anyone’s skin.
.
I encourage you to join me in shifting the rhetoric, the stereotypes, the racism and the discrimination that seems to supersede anything good.
.
Let’s BE LOUDER then the racist.
Let’s BE LOUDER then the media.
Let’s LOVE OUT LOUD.

Phil is my husband. He is the most detailed person I know. The kinda guy that gets me a meal even when I say I don’t want anything. He has frozen Reese’s cup (my fav) even though I tell him I ain’t eating sugar. The kind of guy who thinks of everyone else’s comforts. Phil is also the smartest person I know. He is a true historian, of many subjects. He’s a true snacker, loves crime shows and has the best entertainment industry intel! To see him become a father has been a pleasure. @brix.fix lives for her DADDDYYYY. This is #MyBlackLoveStory ❤️ #ShareYourBlackLoveStory #BlackLoveMatters
