This is me on the table.

Receiving.

Which if I’m honest, is one of the hardest things I do.

Giving feels natural to me. Holding space for others, witnessing, supporting, that’s where I feel most at home.

But being on the receiving end?
Letting someone else in?
Allowing myself to soften in front of another person?
After everything I’ve been through…
That’s where it gets harder.

This particular session was deep. Something moved that needed to move, and I didn’t see it coming.

What I do know is this… I can’t ask my clients to go somewhere I’m not willing to go myself. I can’t hold space for vulnerability if I’m not doing my own work. I can’t speak about softening if I’m still keeping my own armour on.

This work asks something of me too.

And sometimes the most important thing I can do as a practitioner is lie down, let go, and trust the process the same way I ask you to.

If you’ve been finding it hard to take that first step, I understand that more than you know.

My inbox is always open 💛

With gratitude,
Tanya

I want to take a moment to share this beautiful review from one of my incredible virtual clients 🌏

What I love most about Kyra’s words is the journey they capture…

She came into her first few Spinal Energetics sessions feeling nervous and unsure of what to expect.

And now?
She looks forward to them. ✨

There is something so special about witnessing someone move from “I’m not sure about this” to “I can’t wait for my next session.”

And what makes Kyra’s experience even more special is that every one of our sessions has been virtual 💻

She has experienced this work from the comfort of her own space, thousands of kilometres away, a beautiful reminder that connection, presence and deep inner exploration don’t necessarily require us to be in the same room.

Sometimes the biggest shift begins simply by becoming curious about what else might be possible within you.

And really, that’s what I love most about this work.

You don’t have to understand everything before you begin.
You just have to be willing to meet yourself somewhere a little deeper. ✨

We spend so much of our lives learning about the body as though it’s a collection of parts.

Bones. Muscles. Organs. Hormones. A nervous system.

And yes, we are all of those things.

But what if that’s not the whole story? 👀

What if there is more happening within you than you’ve ever been taught to notice?

The sensations you can’t quite explain.
The emotions that move through you.
The subtle shifts you feel when something changes.
The way your body can respond before your conscious mind has caught up.

You don’t have to know exactly what it is.
You don’t have to give it a label.
Just become curious 🤔

Because perhaps the invitation isn’t to understand your body better…

Perhaps it’s to experience yourself more fully.

What might you discover if you stopped assuming you already knew what you were? 💭

This is @spinalenergeticshq ✨

It’s where I welcome clients for in-person Spinal Energetics sessions each week.

If you’ve ever wondered what it actually feels like to walk through those doors, let me paint you a picture...

As you step inside and slip off your shoes,
the noise of the outside world starts to fade.
There’s fresh herbal tea waiting for you.

The space is warm, quiet and intentionally simple.
Soft lighting. Natural textures. Nothing demanding your attention. Just a place where you can begin to soften after holding so much of yourself together.

There isn’t any pressure to arrive feeling calm.
Some people walk in chatting. Others arrive feeling emotional. Some aren’t even sure how they’re feeling yet.

However you arrive is exactly how you’re meant to arrive.

When you’re ready, we’ll move into the treatment room.
You’ll remain fully clothed throughout the session. We’ll spend a few minutes talking about what’s been happening for you, and then we’ll begin.

From there, the session unfolds however your body needs it to. No performance. No expectation. No right or wrong way to experience it.

Just space to exhale. Just space to stop holding everything together for a little while. Just space to arrive as you are.

If you’re planning to visit me in Richmond, here’s a few helpful things to know:
📍 8 Albert Street, Richmond VIC 3121
🚗 Free two-hour street parking is usually available on Albert Street and Brighton Street.
👕 Wear something comfortable that allows you to relax and move freely.
⏰ If you can, arrive 10–15 minutes early so you have a chance to settle before your session begins.

My clinic hours are:
Wednesdays 10am – 2pm
Thursdays 1:30pm – 9pm
Saturdays 9am – 2pm

Not in Melbourne?
I also offer online sessions via Zoom, and they’re a beautiful option for people across Australia and around the world.

If you’ve been curious about this work but weren’t quite sure what to expect, I hope this helps. And if you have any questions before booking, my inbox is always open.

I’d love to welcome you into the space when the time feels right.

There was a reason you became the person you are today.

Maybe you learned to stay quiet to keep the peace. Maybe you became the one who always held everything together.

Maybe you learned to anticipate everyone else’s needs before your own. Maybe you stayed busy because slowing down never felt safe ❤️‍🩹

None of those parts of you are flaws.
They’re adaptations.

They’re the ways your nervous system found to protect you with the resources it had at the time.

Those parts deserve compassion.
They deserve gratitude.
Because they got you here.

But healing isn’t about asking those parts to keep carrying you forever.

It’s about creating enough safety within your body that they no longer have to work so hard.

Not because they were wrong.
Not because they failed you.

But because you no longer need to live as though you’re surviving something that’s already over.

To me, this is what healing is ❤️

Not becoming someone new…

But reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been waiting patiently beneath the coping, the protecting, and the holding on.

❤️

With gratitude,
Tanya

When people first hear about Group Spinal Energetics Session Experiences, one of the most common questions I get is...

“Wouldn’t that feel too vulnerable?”

The honest answer?
Sometimes, yes.

For many of us, being supported in the presence of others isn’t something our nervous system has had much practice with.

We’ve learned to hold ourselves together, to keep going, and to process life quietly on our own ❤️‍🩹

That’s one of the reasons I love offering these sessions.
Not because I believe they’re “better” than one-to-one work, but because they’re different.

A group session offers something unique. It’s an opportunity to experience being supported while surrounded by others who are also choosing to slow down, reconnect, and turn inward.

There’s no expectation to share, perform, or have a particular experience. Everyone is there for their own journey.

Over the years, I’ve watched people arrive feeling unsure, only to leave surprised by how safe, calm, and supported the experience felt.

Not because someone told them they should feel that way. Because their own nervous system discovered something new.

That’s what I hope these sessions offer.

Not a place where you have to push yourself beyond what feels right, but a space where you can gently explore what becomes possible when you don’t have to carry everything on your own.

If you’re curious about whether a Group Session Experience might be the right fit for you, you’ll always find my current offerings through the link in my bio, or you’re welcome to send me a message. I’m always happy to answer any questions ❤️

The movements you see here aren’t being controlled by me.

They’re expressions of the body’s own intelligence, as the nervous system begins to unwind patterns of tension and protection it no longer needs to hold 💛

She’s fully aware and present throughout. Her body is simply responding in its own way, without needing her mind to control or explain it.

In this session, the movement began at her sacrum, with her body naturally orienting towards that space first.

To me, that’s the body showing where it has the greatest capacity to connect and respond in that moment.

Rather than staying only where movement was already flowing, I gently followed that openness to invite more connection through her lumbar spine, an area that felt a little more guarded.

That’s not a problem or something to fix.
It’s simply information.

In that moment, her system wasn’t quite as available or open there yet ✨

The intention is never to create more movement.

It’s to invite more flow, balance and coherence throughout the whole system.

As these patterns begin to reorganise, people often tell me they can breathe more deeply, move more freely, or simply feel lighter, more grounded and more like themselves.

Others notice a sense of calm or clarity, as though they no longer need to hold on quite so tightly.

Every session looks different because every nervous system speaks its own version of expression.

Sometimes that expression looks like movement.
Sometimes it looks like stillness.
Both are equally meaningful.

With gratitude,
Tanya

There’s a quiet assumption that Spinal Energetics is only for the days you’re falling apart.

It can absolutely meet you there.
But that’s only one part of why people come.

Swipe through to explore the bigger picture 💛

One of my long-term one-on-one clients was incredibly hesitant to attend a Spinal Energetics Group Session.

Over the course of 12 months of working together, we’d slowly built a strong foundation of safety and trust. But the idea of allowing herself to be held in a room full of people still felt incredibly vulnerable.

For many of us, being seen in our emotional experience hasn’t always felt safe.

We’ve learned to hold ourselves together.
To stay quiet.
To process everything on our own.

So we didn’t rush it.
There was no pressure.
Just gentle encouragement over time, allowing her nervous system to move at a pace that felt right for her.

Eventually, she got to a point where she felt ready 💛

What she experienced wasn’t “better” than a private session.
It was simply different.

She discovered that the safety she’d built in one space could begin to extend into another. That she could soften, receive, and surrender while being held within a group. To me, that’s where the real growth was ✨

Not in attending a group session.
But in expanding her nervous system’s understanding of what was possible for her!

Because healing isn’t only about finding safety within ourselves. Sometimes it’s about discovering that it’s safe to be ourselves in the presence of others too.

If you’ve ever felt hesitant about joining a Group Session because you’re worried about being vulnerable, emotional, or judged... I want you to know that those feelings are incredibly human.

You don’t have to force yourself before you’re ready.

But you also don’t have to assume that your nervous system’s current sense of safety is the only version that’s available to you.

Sometimes growth looks like discovering your nervous system is capable of feeling safe in places it once believed it couldn’t.

If it feels like the right next step for your nervous system, our next Group Spinal Energetics Session Experience is on:

🗓️ Saturday, 1st August at 1:30pm

We tend to wait until we’re falling apart before we allow ourselves to receive support ❤️‍🩹

But some of the people carrying the heaviest hearts don’t look like they’re struggling at all.

They’re still showing up.
Still working.
Still caring for everyone else.
Still smiling.

They’ve simply become very good at carrying it.
I’ve worn that same brave face. I know this pattern well.
I imagine many of you do too.

Our nervous system is beautifully designed to help us adapt. To keep us functioning. To help us survive what’s in front of us. But over time, those adaptations can become the way we live.

We can become so used to holding everything together that we forget what it feels like to soften. To breathe a little deeper. To feel at home within ourselves again ❤️

You don’t have to wait until life feels unmanageable to create space for yourself.

Support isn’t only for the moments when everything falls apart. Sometimes it’s simply a place where you don’t have to hold it all on your own.

That’s the kind of space I hope to offer.
A space where nothing needs to be performed.
Nothing needs to be fixed.

Where you don’t have to arrive with the right words or even know exactly what you need.

Just a space where your body can exhale, your nervous system can be met with compassion, and you can reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been quietly waiting to be felt.

With gratitude,
Tanya

“Why is her back twitching like that?” Great question 🦋

Those small movements through the lumbar spine are involuntary. She’s not doing them on purpose, and neither am I. It’s her body responding in real time.

During Spinal Energetics sessions, some people experience subtle twitches, tremors, pulses, changes in breath, or spontaneous movement, while others experience deep stillness.

Every body responds differently, depending on what it needs and has the capacity for in that moment.

In somatic work, these kinds of movements are often understood as the nervous system unwinding, shifting out of old patterns of holding and protection.

As the body feels safe enough to soften, it may express itself in ways that become visible.

The body has its own innate language, and many people notice these kinds of responses when they slow down, reconnect with themselves, and start paying attention to what they’ve been carrying beneath the surface.

Nothing forced.
Nothing performed.

Just a body responding in the way it knows how, in that moment.

If you’re curious about Spinal Energetics or ready to experience it for yourself, we’d love to connect 💛

With gratitide,
Tanya

One of the greatest gifts virtual sessions have given me is witnessing just how little distance matters when it comes to connection.

I’ve shared these sessions with people in different cities, countries, seasons of life, and stages of their journey.

Some arrive seeking support through change. Some come to reconnect with themselves. Others simply know they need a space to pause and listen inward.

What I’ve learnt is that we don’t always need to leave home to receive something meaningful.

Sometimes the most nourishing thing we can do is soften into the spaces we already inhabit.

To lie on our own bed.
To wrap ourselves in a familiar blanket.
To make a cup of tea afterwards.
To let the experience gently integrate into the rhythm of everyday life.

Whether through Spinal Energetics, Reiki, Breathwork, or an intuitive blend of all three, these sessions are an invitation to slow down, tune in, and remember that you don’t have to hold everything on your own 💛

You don’t need to have the right words.

You don’t need to know exactly what you need. You don’t need to wait until things feel difficult to receive support. You simply need a willingness to arrive as you are.

Wherever you are in the world, support can meet you there 💛

With gratitude,
Tanya
