Bacon Bits is a super lucky guy who got to spend almost 2 weeks with a really cool temp foster mom (his auntie). She was only supposed to have him for three nights, while the shelter was having construction done, but at the end of that, she couldn’t bear to bring him back again so soon, so she got a little more time with him, before her landlord said time’s up. That time is this weekend and unfortunately, this poor boy is going to go back to a place that isn’t so great for him. He runs a little anxious anyhow and a place that loud with that much change and that many new people coming through just sets his little nervous system spinning. If you are able to foster or adopt this lover boy, he’s located at Front Street in Sacramento, California. Animal ID A729591. A full report from his foster mom is below!

“Bacon is without a doubt the funnest dog I’ve ever met. He is silly, playful, incredibly smart — he would train very well and be an excellent service or working dog. He LOVES other dogs and wants to play with them soooo bad. He is not so good with cats and would definitely do best in a home with older kids.

He is a little scared in the dark walking and with loud noises, and he’s timid around strangers for the first time. HE HATES BICYCLES.

He is potty-trained and can hold it for a long time. A total couch potato and wannabe lap dog once he’s got his play zoomies out. He’s great on a leash, knows how to sit, thrives on routine and is working on “wait.

His ideal meet and greet would be a play date, letting the new person just join in on the fun without acknowledging, petting or talking to him for about 15 mins and then he warms up and wants your attention.

He would thrive in an active household with a yard and do even better with another active dog sibling. He’s a good, good boy. 🐾🖤” #frontstreetanimalshelter #sacramento #pittiesofinsta #fosteringsaveslives #shelterdogsofinstagram
