To ensure your players are at their peak when it matters most, you need to know what they’re doing every time they step on the court. Lafayette men’s basketball gets it. #NeverADoubt

Play hard, play smart, have fun.

That is Sean O'Brien's coaching philosophy, and his favourite drill backs it up.

Clipper Closeout. Four coaches with balls on the perimeter, four players starting on the elbows and the blocks. The elbows slide, touch hands, then close out to the coaches in the corners. The blocks touch hands and close out to the slots at the same time. The coach takes a dribble or two to see whether the footwork holds up.

What he is after is simple: take away the shot, and take away the middle of the floor. Run it with one ball or with two.

Swipe for the full breakdown.

Coach Spotlight: one coach, their session, shared in full. Sean coaches at Lafayette College and won the Patriot League with Colgate in 21-22.
