Omg it's local influencer Pedro Haro of @lahainatacos !! You would think he would say, putting their guacamole sauce, followed by their salsa on your face would make someone beautiful... at least, their skin!! 😂

Starting to think poke and tacos supposed to be neighbors 😂🤙

In Kahuku we get @papistacos808, Mountain View we get @simplysaborcatering, and Huntington Beach we get @tacosloscholos_ 🌮🐟

Then the other night I got to meet Pedro from @lahainatacos! Brah, da same energy you see online, you feel when you meet him in person.

Seeing his story and how people have rallied around their business makes me happy. Behind all da viral videos is somebody working hard for something they believe in. As one small business owner, that part means a lot.

Stoked to have met you, Pedro. Keep going, braddah! Cheeee 🤙

So instagram is unnecessarily aggressive about keeping vids at 3 mins. So here are some of the things I had to cut. #LahainaTacos

Big shout out to some of the creators that make it safer to be a woman online and in this world! Your willingness to smash the patriarchy, defeat addiction, name violence, heal trauma, acknowledge sexism, racism, classism, misogyny, create better relationships, and outspokenly repeat what protection ACTUALLY means is saving lives. Thank you! Here’s a few tags to go follow my favorites!

Finally got my @lahainatacos!! Lately, due to their fun, innovative "influencer videos" on IG which have gone viral internationally, 👏 there's been long lines at this Mexican family-run taco spot in Pioneer Plaza on Fort Street Mall, but we got lucky today. 😋

The owner of @lahainatacos went viral by ACCIDENT and handed you the whole innovation playbook without even knowing it. 🌮

A taco shop guy from Hawaii in a cowboy hat pops off on social media… and I am mapping the 4 moves he was making that you can use to make more money in your business:

1️⃣ He did something he actually had FUN doing.
Fun is the most overlooked catalyst of innovation. You think it’s rise and grind. It’s not. It’s rise and have fun.

2️⃣ When people asked him to do it again, he DID.
Again. And again. And again. Listening + consistency = total winner.

3️⃣ He kept listening and kept EXPANDING.
He didn’t stop at the video. Believe it or not now there’s merch. Same audience, new product line.

4️⃣ He owned it.
He rolled with it, adopted it, doubled down and it made him go viral. Sometimes you just gotta own the moment the market hands you.

Here’s the thing nobody wants to hear: he wasn’t trying to trend. He was just having fun in public and listening harder than everyone else.

When the market tells you to innovate, you listen. You double down. You stay consistent. You have fun with it.

Save this for the next time you’re stuck in the grind.
Tag the business owner who needs to hear #1.
