130 women. 100% fun. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Swipe through. Two years ago, impowr was an idea and a lot of hope. This week I stood up to give my speech at @boomchicago , looked out at 130 women, and had to take a second. Women were leaning in, laughing, swapping numbers and trading ideas like theyโ€™d known each other for years. So many familiar faces and so many brand new ones. Thatโ€™s when it hit me: this is what Iโ€™m building impowr for. Everyone arrived knowing her networking superpower and wrote it on her name tag at the door. I had conversation after conversation with women who had brilliant ideas and just needed a little push. Some wanted a kick up the butt, some wanted one practical next step. Every single one of them had more in her than she gave herself credit for. Our wall filled up with the rules nobody says out loud but everyone has followed. Then we laughed at them. @griddlecakekatie , @lahrahmaynard , @megabuzza and the rest of Boom Chicagoโ€™s cast gave us the most unhinged career advice Iโ€™ve ever heard. They acted out things that have definitely happened to all of us at work, and the room did not stop laughing. A few thank-yous: ๐Ÿคฉ @saskiajmaas , CEO of Boom Chicago, thanks to whom weโ€™ve now done this twice in a row ๐ŸŽถ @bradkempmusic , Artistic Director at Boom Chicago, who made the night possible (and wore pink to match the branding!) ๐Ÿ’— My impowr women, @tiffanygkaude , @thestraighttalk_ , @ziziharchi , @giulikey and @aleksandraaliciavictoria , who are always in my corner ๐Ÿ“ธ @kasiagiska.branding , for the amazing photos, as always The best career conversations donโ€™t always happen in a meeting room. Sometimes they happen when ambitious women get together, drink pink prosecco and laugh until their cheeks hurt. Iโ€™m building the Inner Circle so that this energy doesnโ€™t end when the night does. Want to be part of this community? The link to join the Inner Circle is in the comments. To every woman who came: hold on to that magic. โœจ

Aug/Sep were full full full ๐Ÿฅฐ โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŽช I had a gorgeous week at Edinburgh Fringe seeing 39(!) shows, went on two @dreamqueen.improv trips to Berlin and Sofia, performed in so many juicy improv and stand-up shows, celebrated Pride, and shared delicious moments of connection with my friends. Starting October feeling so grateful (and sad), but mostly grateful.
