We laughed, we tanned, and we celebrated our girl. So thankful to be part of such a sweet chapter in her story.

👇🏻✨👇🏻

Most of us remember to plan our time accordingly for our hair and makeup (unless its included in your session like it is with EHP), nails done 💅🏻✅, make sure our teeth are clean 🪥, pack our jewelry & outfit changes.. 🛍️

All these things are very important to remember before your session, but they’re not the most common thing forgotten.

The most common thing is not the most important either.. I have seen it enough times now that I figured it was time to address the 🐘 in the room…

The forgotten task won’t ruin your session but it will definitely limit what we can do while shooting.. It will determine how we can pose and certain lighting situations.

Now if you’re a guy you don’t have so much to worry about… however for my girls, leg hair and under arm hair can show up in pictures more than you think. If you are in a cute sleeveless top or dress, we won’t be able to raise your arms for poses & sometimes its still visible when your arms are by your side, also leg hair will show up when we shoot back lit images (sun directly behind you)…

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, This small (but important detail) is SHAVING…. Take time out the morning or afternoon before your session to shave. I promise it needs to be done.

Book your senior session with #ellehines for an in-depth what to and not to do before your session. Click the link in my bio or head to my website and fill out the contact form to get started.

Let me help you prepare for the best senior portraits.
