On this day in 2019, my first music gig ever 🥰

Also, not me hanging with Lainie Fritz before realizing I’d become Ivory Fritz 😆 @lainiefritz

But seriously, that first gig was so scary and out of my comfort zone! I’d been playing guitar for myself in my room alone for years and years, and I was so blindsided when I was asked to perform publicly.

Grateful for the push outside of my comfort zone. Now music gigs are one of my absolute favorite things to do🤍

Don’t let fear stop you from expressing the joys of your heart.

Also, shout out to my long lost bestie Jessica Ivins (slide 6) who grabbed that gig and pushed me to do more.

She started calling me a song writer. I looked at her like she was crazy and said, well yes I wrote a couple songs, but that doesn’t mean I’m a song writer. 😂

Songs kept coming out of me, and I eventually accepted that I am a song writer.

I’ve since published some of those songs (available on all streaming platforms. Just search “Ivory Hecker”), and Jess’ encouragement has a lot to do with it all!

I’ll say it over and over again… PROUD WIFE ALWAYS 🧡 The work my hubby, our players, and this team pour in day after day is truly unmatched. This loss hurts… and it will for a while. But we are so blessed to be part of something this special—for the journey to get here, the sacrifices, the memories, all of it. Forever national champs in my heart. Forever your biggest cheerleader, Baby! 📣☝🏼✨ Year 4, DONE!
