Daaang, it’s frigid out there! Are you getting hit by the arctic blast??

Here’s another stack of seasonally-appropriate paintings from drop 3 episode 6 (A Very Devil Christmas) of ✨The Cuphead Show!✨

First BG layout design of Santa’s office (slides 1-4: painting, colorkey, & closeups) by Benjamin Anderson @bokann_

Slide 5 city Xmas tree BG layout by Laisay Bond @laisaybond

Slide 6 is a fun wreath asset painted for the title card, but I’m not sure who designed it!

Slides 7/8 are a colorkey pass for the upward pan shot of the North Pole that was built by the incredible team at Screen Novelties @screennovelties — also not sure who designed this layout (sorry!)

Art direction for everything by Andrea Fernandez @pepperfernandez

I was responsible for paint only!

Hoping you’re staying warm, hoping your power stays on, and if you’re traveling I hope you have the safest travels!! It’s getting reeaal dicey out there!

Also Happy (5th day of?) Hanukkah to all who celebrate!

The third (and final?) drop of ✨The Cuphead Show!✨ is out on Netflix today!

Here are some background paintings I did for drop 3 episode 11 (The Devil & Ms. Chalice)!

Slide 1 layout design by Laisay Bond @laisaybond
(Slide 2 is my colorkey for this shot, slides 3 & 4 are close-ups of the first painting)

Slides 5 & 6 layout designs by Benjamin Anderson @bokann_

Art direction by Andrea Fernandez @pepperfernandez

Decided to share the painting version with the rug to pair with the colorkey, but the rug had to be removed in the final shot so it wasn’t a liability for the arcade ‘cause you knowww that the devil would trip & sue!!!

I hope you all are well and are enjoying breathing air with your human lungs and thinking about the meaning of existence and smelling fresh baked bread & fragrant flowers separately and at the same time!

Not sure if I am capable of another full week of premiere posts, but I’ll post more eventually maybe. (Possibly tomorrow? Who knows!)

Thanks for looking at these with your odd squishy eyeballs, wigglewagging this visual info to your brain via optic nerves! How weird!! Thanks!

The 7th day of ✨The Cuphead Show!✨ [drop 2] week!!!

Following up Tuesday’s post, we now progress deeper into the fall season… when winter is ready to sink its claws into the thick knit of our sweaters until the chill is inescapable (aka, my birthday season! 😺)

I believe these layouts were designed by Laisay Bond @laisaybond !

Art direction by Andrea Fernandez @pepperfernandez

Final clip in the last slide! (Who animated this sequence?)

Will post more from this episode at a later date!

Hope you are having a good week! It’s almost the weekend! Wooo!

On International Women’s Day, @carolinedirector made an awesome post sharing a bunch of even more awesome ladies’ work! 💪

I was inspired to do the same, so tap the image to check out their profiles!

I’d love if more ladies commented below to share their work! Apparently you can only tag 20 people per post 🤷🏻‍♀️
