✨ Opening of KolkjART Gallery | 01.08.2026 ✨

🌱 Mycelium / Mütseel 🌱

On 1 August, we celebrated the opening of KolkjART Gallery and the opening of our first exhibition, Mycelium.

It was more than just the opening of an art space. It was an opening to new friendships, new encounters, new connections and new conversations🌱

An opening to countless colours, emotions, stories and perspectives. And perhaps most importantly, an opening to discovering ourselves again and opening our souls🤍

Just like mycelium connects everything living through invisible threads, art connects people. Different stories, different backgrounds and different perspectives can come together through something we all understand without words🌱

Thank you to everyone who came to share this special day with us🌱Thank you for your smiles, your warmth, your kind words and for the beautiful energy you brought into this space. ✨

A very special thank you to all the artists and participants who filled the gallery with colour, meaning, emotion and incredible art🌱🫶

May KolkjART Gallery become a place for meaningful encounters, inspiration, new ideas and genuine human connection. A place where you can come to see art and perhaps discover a little bit of yourself along the way🌱

✨ A Fairytale That Became Reality ✨

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Viktoria✨

One day, a terrible monster came into her home and took away everything she loved. She had to leave behind the life she knew, carrying only memories, hope, and a dream.

Despite everything, she never stopped believing. 🌱

She dreamed of creating a place where people could feel safe again. A place to escape anxiety, fear, and war. A place where nature embraces you, art speaks to your soul, and the aroma of homemade pastries brings back the warmth of childhood.

A place that reminds you there is still goodness in this world.

Today, that dream has become reality✨

Opening this gallery has been more than starting a new chapter—it has been a journey of healing.

A few days after the opening, friends sent me a simple message:

“We saw you truly happy again.”

And I cried🥹

After years of feeling broken, I finally felt like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Now all I want is to share that warmth with others—to remind them that light still exists, kindness still matters, and that light will always be stronger than darkness.

This gallery was built with love, faith, and the support of incredible people✨

My heartfelt thanks to every artist, my family, my friends, our partners, and everyone who believed in this dream and helped make it possible. And to everyone who supported us with donations—thank you from the bottom of my heart🌿

Welcome to a place where art heals, hope is reborn, and even after the darkest night, the sun always rises again🫶

Not all mushrooms stay where they grow.

Some become tiny pins and wander out into the world.

A quiet bit of forest for jackets, bags, and everyday adventures.

Small, strange, and full of character. 🍄

Very serious testing.
Every mushroom magnet has to pass the click test before it’s allowed indoors.

This is me doodling on a few artist's conk mushrooms. Artist's conk is a wood rot fungus with a great property - it's soft white underbelly turns dark when bruised. Here you see me drawing on it with a stick and just having fun 🐒 its my first time doing this by the way! Would you try it?

I always practice honorable harvesting - it's when you take only what you need with plenty left. In Estonia it's common practice to go mushroom hunting in the autumn. But a mushroom place is a very private thing. People are so secretive about their mushrooming places, it's like a national meme by now. 😅
