$a few of my hart st memories from about Dec 2021 through 2024 (c” ತ, _ತ) xtremely grateful to have been a part of (what I felt like) such a staple in the neighborhood of Ridgewood ~ from our stoop bbqs, game nights, mutual aid pop ups, birthday celebrations, wedding reception, housing qtbipoc, casual hangs, etc. just about every single gathering was centered around care, food, love, tenderness, thoughtfulness, and so much more >^~^> these are just a tiny fraction of the pics I was able to remember in the moment to archive and some that were shared with me after (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`) if you’d like any of these pics please reach out and happy to send over! as much as I have grieved the loss of this home ~ through a holdover eviction, I also must celebrate it. I cherish all the memories that came about because of this home. all of them, for I have been able to understand the growth and lessons that came with it. going through that eviction was really difficult, having to fight not just the slumlord + his intimidation and harassment tactics but the systems in place as well was extremely debilitating and defeating tbh. mostly because I was alone trying to fight back, fighting for a place that many of us worked to build up and into a home. the reality of losing our home terrified me because I actually understood what it meant not just for myself but many others. All to say fuck slumlords, document everything ~ record every harassment and intimidation they throw at you, make a timeline and put it in an email, exercise your tenant rights, and fight back. It’s always worth it. • please share any memories or moments from hart st below in the comments or in a message! Would love to reminisce with you ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ a reminder I’m still fundraising for my rematriation and archive work in P’urhépecha ~ there’s pending work needed to be done on my family’s home and would love to begin the repairs. would love to have the home in a place to open up to chosen family and loved ones to come visit comfortably ~ link in b!0 ~ share in your networks and engage with the post porfis v: @indolazyho c: $indalesio bendiciones y besos xx$
