When Ambrosia started looking for where to host our cooking retreats, we knew we wanted to host our guests @lamanufactureroyaledelectoure

This 18th century historical monument and former leather tannery was lovingly transformed by stylist and former set designer Christèle Ageorges and her husband Hubert Delance in 2022.

In awe of the ever changing light in Gascony, Christèle felt that a natural, nuanced color palette would enhance the beauty and create a warm, relaxing atmosphere.

Je vous souhaite un dimanche comme s'est déroulé mon samedi: loin de Paris, protégée de la chaleur par les murs de pierres de l'ancienne tannerie royale de Lectoure devenue un gîte où règnent la justesse et l'élégance.
Ce week-end, la Manufacture Royale accueille deux artisanes d'art dont les démarches artistiques s'articulent autour de la thématique commune du végétal. Anne-Violaine Lesaffre a le don de vous immerger dans une verdure luxuriante peinte sur des toiles enveloppantes. Laurentine Perilhou, quant à elle, transforme la science de la botanique en une expérience de formes, de textures et de couleurs.
Toutes deux se rejoignent par la poésie, et au-delà de leur pratique, par une posture engagée et libre.

Spend six unforgettable days in the French countryside this Fall. We will cook, we will drink wine, we will play pétanque! Discover why the French refer to Gascony as “the old France”.

Gascony captured my heart when I lived there in 2024. Explore France like a local with a local. Ambrosia is run by me, and cooking retreats will include local experts and of course our co-host @nat_higley who grew up in Gascony.

Our workshops will explore wine cellars, farm kitchens, and famous French markets. Hosted in the most stunning boutique hotel @lamanufactureroyaledelectoure Early October brings the perfect temperatures. Golden, sunny days and cool evening perfect for roasted duck, cassoulet, and Armagnac.

J'ai eu la chance de cueillir les grappes de fleurs en bouton du sophora japonica de @lamanufactureroyaledelectoure . Utilisé au Japon notamment pour la teinture de la soie. tests sur plusieurs échantillons et mordants différents. la gagnante est la soie à l'alun pour un jaune profond et lumineux.. J'adore. Maintenant séchage des boutons prélevés sur les grappes ! Merci @lamanufactureroyaledelectoure 💚

I think those who know me and have followed me for a long time already know that I’m absolutely crazy about Christmas, the festive season, and everything that surrounds it. For those of you who don’t know that yet – hello, my name is Signe, and I’m crazy about Christmas!

For that reason, since the cooking weekend at La Manufacture Royale in September sold out (there are no places left!), I’ve decided to open bookings for a special pre-Christmas retreat in Lectoure, set in a stunning, stunning property that I know you will absolutely fall in love with.

It will be one day longer than usual, and you’ll be picked up from either Toulouse or Bordeaux Airport – or the train station – and driven back there at the end, no matter how you arrive.

We’re simply going to have the most amazing time together. This weekend will be a little different, too, because on the first evening we won’t be cooking. Instead, we’ll head out to a wonderful restaurant and enjoy a beautiful dinner together. As always, there will be yoga, a flower masterclass, tastings, market visits, and let me tell you – visiting the market during the Christmas season is beyond beautiful. Of course, we’ll also have four cooking classes and everything else that’s needed for a truly unforgettable experience.

I cannot wait for you to join the rest of the group and me from the 3rd to the 6th of December. Book while places are still available because, as you know, the September masterclass sold out in just three or four days. And honestly, it’s easy to see why – it’s simply worth it.
