Picked up @jdwoldin at SFO and met the B-day girl @ksnydmitch in the city.
Took a little embarcadero walk in the almost-maybe-thinking-about-it-drizzle
which precipitated (perfect word) a drink at our classic @perryssf prior to our celebratiion (no photos? I swear we got a photo here!!)
and on to dinner...
An amazing meal at La Mar Cocina @lamarsf with attentive staff, amazing cocktails and to-die-for food.
A three hour laugh...

Travel observation #7: The food in San Francisco y’all!!! Visited La Mar Cocina Peruana in the Embarcadero and we ordered a group meal of halibut. The chef brings out your fish and lets you know how he is going to prepare it for you. I tried some sushi but the paella was my favorite. Definitely go do this when in the city!! #lifeatmeta #metamates @embarcadero41oficial @lamarsf #amazingexperience

Birthday dinner at La Mar Cocina Peruana San Francisco 🤸🏻‍♀️🤸🏻‍♀️😩🪼🪼🪼

Their menu was heavily made up of fresh and bright seafood with each flavour being very unique imo, and sitting right on the pier. I find myself to be annoyingly picky about where I go to eat for my birthday and this restaurant satisfied each requirement I have in my brain lol. I would def come back for their nigiri tasting AND their Laqueado… omg. The Laqueado dish was torched ahi tuna, drenched in passion fruit sauce and pickled vegetables. If you know me, you know this is me as a dish. 10/10 would come back just for that!!!!! The staff was also very kind 🤸🏻‍♀️🫂🐟🐡🐡🐡

Thank you @kassidyroseeee for the recommendation!🥰

Celebrating my wife’s birthday at La Mar in SF 🎉🇵🇪

We started with the cebiche tasting, then the Inca Sunset and Peruvian Old Fashioned set the mood. The sake toro with aji verde was unreal, and the grilled pulpo with creamy potatoes was just as good.

But the birthday showstopper? A 1.5-lb grilled lobster over paella-style rice cooked in lobster broth. 🦞🔥

We still made room for the Peruvian-style tres leches cake—because it was her birthday, obviously.

Happy birthday to my favorite dinner date. ❤️

La Mar is such a gem — waterfront views, sunny patio, and some of the best Peruvian food in the city. The ceviche trio was the standout (fresh, bright, perfect leche de tigre), the grilled octopus was tender with a beautiful char, and the empanadas and calamari were crispy and addictive. Don’t skip the pisco sours. Already planning our next visit.

An evening of art,
good food,
and even better company.

After exploring the RM x SFMOMA exhibition, we continued the evening at La Mar for some Peruvian cuisine by the waterfront.

From the fresh ceviche and seafood to the cocktails, everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors, presentation, and atmosphere made the experience even more special.

Sometimes, the best evenings are simply about discovering beautiful places, enjoying great food, and sharing those moments with wonderful company.

Definitely a place I’d love to come back to. 🤍

Pull up to @lamarsf on your next date night. You’ll be blown away.

Every time we come back to San Francisco, La Mar Cebichería Peruana is becoming one of those MUST stops for us. 🇵🇪🦞🔥

Right on the Embarcadero overlooking the water, and personally, I think this is one of the best restaurants you can eat at along the waterfront. It’s even more of a vibe during dinner.

Peruvian food already has so much depth, but what makes this place even crazier is the mix of Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, and Andean influences throughout the cuisine. You can genuinely taste layers and layers of flavor in every dish.

The chefs here are insanely talented. Life’s too short to eat boring food. If I’m spending money on a nice dinner, I don’t want something basic that feels like I could’ve made it at home. I want something that’s gonna be difficult to replicate outside of a restaurant at this level.

Definitely one of those places where the food, the view, and the whole experience actually match the price. Easy recommendation for your next night out in the city.

Florals for your feed

The vendor team is integral to creating and shaping the contours of your day. I’m so grateful I had the best vendors backing me up for the corporate dinner I recently hosted during my 9-5. Having people who have your back and go the extra mile are the kinds of people you want supporting you in any event. Thank you to the staff at La Mar and Joyce with Petals by Paik for being the backbone of our event! 💖
